Policeman carrying around huge machine guns…
Today I saw two cops in the city just casually walking around with HUGE machine guns in their arms… like why is this necessary?

It seems pretty over-the-too, and just a way to exude more power or something. Like their were kids and family around… that could be pretty scary for them.
If they need a gun, why can’t they just have a little one attached to their belt?
Carrying a huge machine gun like they’re in a video game is a bit excessive.

'machine gun' is a general term for a fully automatic rifle. Law enforcement uses semi-automatic rifles, fully automatic is reserved for the military.
