I mean I am really nothing. I dropped out of college and work as an extra. I am in Canada now but I think I made a mistake coming all the way with envy, curiosity and rebel. None of the think existed in my life and there is no one who does that if they are living decently. I feel like I step forward thinking this way but I could have been better if I stayed in Korea. Korea is good now days. When I left average salary was $550 but now they get 1500 average. I don’t know.. it could have been easier for me to navigate if I am in Korea because I was grown up there, I don’t what’s for me in this country. Anyone who have same experience that you find you hit the wall after American dream?
I mean maybe you're just not in your comfort zone and therefore your mind is trying to convince yourself it was a bad idea. And that maybe it's better to go back to Korea. Why? Because that's where your comfort zone is. I dont know how it is living for you. But if you came to America thinking it was gonna be some sort of fairytale then you're gonna be disappointed. If you truly want to go back to Korea and it'll make you happy then go for it I say. But if you feel you'll feel the same in Korea then I don't see the point

The American Dream was just the concept of being able to change socioeconomic classes which was why capitalism was so revolutionary at the time.
The problem is, the people who have the institutional power in the US are either too stupid or evil to understand or care how it works so they think that the very concept that the very existence of socioeconomic classes is evil and blames capitalism for it.
Within the past 80 years, the very concept of being able to self-govern and your ability to own property have been slowly but surely stripped away. In the 1960s that was when the idea of having a welfare state came to be and we have been on a downward trend where we become more and more reliant on the government to do everything we can, or used to be able to do, ourselves.
So I don't blame you for feeling disappointed about this. I didn't ask for this crap either.

I think you are brave. Coming to America from Korea is hard. It's a totally different lifestyle and you have to overcome so many obstacles. You were an extra. I'm curious.. where did you travel too in America? Are you still wanting to become an extra? What are you trying to accomplish or what did you want to experience? Your feelings are valid. I wish you well
When you go back to Korea , you will feel that you made a mistake by going back !!
Why because it's your mindset nothing to do with any country or nation classic case of grass is greener on other side 🙃.Korea is a hard place for professionals- people work a lot of hours there
