I think they have been so brainwashed by the fake news that they really think he has done a good job. Even when you look at major crises like The War in Ukraine, the withdrawal in Afghanistan, high energy costs, record deaths from Covid, runaway inflation, sluggish (read retreating) stock market, and an open border they only see a crisis that Trump left behind.

I’m not necessarily a Biden supporter but no, I don’t think he’s mentally or physically fit for such a high stress job. There should be an age cutoff at 65 to run for president and he should not even be a possibility. Unfortunately, he’s kind of being forced on us because his opponent is such a danger to our constitution and the stability of our republic. The Republicans don't think Trump is a danger and want him to run but the majority of democrats would rather have someone else run because they know Biden is a complete disaster. I do think another Democrat would fare better in the general election than Biden. Problem is, no one of any prominence is going to challenge him for the nomination. It’s party politics 101. I think Biden is still likely to beat Trump but he’s far from an ideal candidate. In fact, I think the Republican base’s support of Trump is the only reason Biden is running again. Trump is a flawed candidate. He’s already at his ceiling of support. He’ll be a liability in a general election. He’ll have to hope for low turnout and some luck with the electoral math. He gives Biden a solid shot to win. He probably loses straight up to a non-crazy republican candidate. It is what it is….. a shit show.
