Should the army and police be classed as legal murderers if they kill someone?

just seen a photo of some Brazilian guy who killed two people being caught by about 30 soldiers to be locked up for the rest of his life. each of those soldiers have probably killed 30 people each in their life time. why are they going back home to be treated like heroes?

soldiers and police officers don't actually want to kill people but often they are in a life or death situation where killing is necessary

most recruits who join military boot camp or the police academy have absolutely no killer instinct in them and they often have to be toughened up and even then when they are actually faced with conflict, it can give them PTSD

I do get the point of your question. They're treated like heroes because they killed someone was dangerous. But that's not me saying that, it's society. I do agree that many times the police and the army kill innocent people.
