What was the thing that made you start your business? What's stopped you from starting one?

My first business was technically someone else's business that I just came in and together we rebuilt it from the ground. What I had as an advantage was we already had probably almost a hundred thousand dollars worth of assets with which to create our product and center the new business around. And I was also incredibly good looking back then, now I'm just greately above average.

Anyway, now I'm working on a new one and as much as I don't like to complain, this is a lot harder. It helps to remember I started because I want to take care of my family and live a certain way.

I got hurt at work and they used it as an excuse to replace me after 23 years.

I don't regret it though because I really was wasting my time there. All they did was give me was a reason to strike out on my own and after one year I've already made as much as I did at my best year at my previous job. And while I had a ceiling of success at my old job. My new one there is no ceiling to how successful I can be. I'm energized Like I haven't felt in a couple decades.

I figure if this doesn't work out I can always go back to working for the man. My retirement is already pretty secure so I really don't have anything to lose. I figure I'll take it year by year and see how it goes.

I worked for a small business for many years. i saw up close when a grind it can be. There were years when i never got vacation and it was always something to make life harder.

I've never started a business but if I had it would have been a speed dating app. What kept me from starting it is lack of funds and connections.

Worked a business with my bro for a year. Fizzled out over mismanaged funds & general neglect for the company. Launched mine a month ago but I’m still needing to supplant it with a 9-5 starting out to eliminate needing to get a loan.

I started my business because I wasn't able to get opportunity by working for someone else. For me, it was done out of necessity.
