Why do republicans have a terrorist mentality of taking hostages?

They think that if a republican is convicted of a crime then a Democrat regardless of proven innocent or not must be put in prison. I didn't know the law worked like that, to avoid prison I have to take an innocent person with me, typical criminal thinking.

Because they are authoritarians. They do not respect the system and probably dont even understand how it works. They have a will and they expect that to be enacted like the entitled children that they are. If something does not go as they want it to then they want repercussions and they dont care if it is just or goes through the system such as the justice system. They simple want it done and that is where their thought process ends.

Quite frankly, its like playing a board game with a child that does not understand the rules. If you do something that earns you money or some kind of benefit, then they think that they are also entitled to the same benefit and if they have some kind misfortune then you should also suffer for it to be fair. They move their pieces where they want to and takes what they want and then screams at you in tears if you tell them that it is not how the game works.
