A US prosecutor like Kamala Harris walks in to a room with a suspected criminal and tells them that if they don't confess that they will go to jail for the maximum amount or get a lighter sentence. Most people can't afford a good lawyer. Prosecutors protect their conviction rate, innocence doesn't matter. Harris has knowingly put innocent people in jail

The point of business is to turn out a profit. The point of government is to be a service that breaks even in cost. A business person has the opposite instincts of what it takes to govern effectively.
A prosecutor, on the other hand, is knowledgeable of the laws and presumably seeks unbiased application of justice. That is only an ideal but in the generic sense that aligns better with the executive branch. A business person makes more sense in the senate if anywhere.

I disagree. A corrupt prosecutor still has checks, judges, juries, etc. But a corrupt businessman likely is the one who bought the prosecutor..

The corrupt prosecutor doesn’t have to accept money from the corrupt businessman. That would make the prosecutor more corrupt because they only care about money while the businessman is losing that money by giving it away

The corrupt businessman doesn't have to offer money to the prosecutor, thus tempting them with corruption. It is a two way street. I'm only saying a businessman has substantially more streets.

And they don't "lose" the money. It's an investment, among thousands of others that they expect a return on.
