Why do so many men and women have trash role models?

Is the dilemma/issue link to upbringing.

there's a laundry list of reasons why men and women have trash role models that it's hard to pinpoint any one particular reason

though it depends on the criteria of whom can/should be considered a role model or not and for whom and society has a tendency to try and dictate to others who should be a role model but the thing is, you can't force people to follow role models that don't want to follow hence the shame tactics

and it's easy to trash on certain role models without coming up with an alternative

understandably everyone will have different role models due to different upbringing and it's really not anyone's business to tell them who they should/shouldn't follow
