From the state towards religion, generally yes - I have no issue with preventing human sacrifice and the such.

From the religious to the state - generally no. People have their world views and those world views are often molded, in part but their religion, or lack of.

Ultimately, it would be a non-issue if the government limited itself to proteting people and their property.

@goaded What happens if Catholics tell non-catholic people of other religions do not walk on their property and even in the front of their Church and no one's welcome to visit it and yes I am Methodist and visited a Catholic Church in the 90s.

I guess it's their land, their choice. I've been to hundreds of churches and never been asked not to. I wouldn't go in during a service.

Yes. Religion should never be mixed with politics. In my opinion, it should never be imposed, it should be a choice.
