What does society expect from men?

We are expected to.
- work from age 16 til death
- fight the wars, pay taxes, and never complain
- expect nothing to return.

Your sweat, your blood, your obedience and your probably your sanity. They’ve done a horrible job incentivizing Millennials and GenZ boys after using older Millennials and GenX as cannon fodder for our pointless wars overseas. They demonized young boys and masculinity as toxic and removed all our role models and purposes in life, then wonder why the highest cause of death in young men is self deletion.


Find your own purpose that doesn’t benefit a society that despises you.

I don't recall saying men shouldn't be putting in effort. And yes, a man is only as good as his word... never said otherwise.

Men objectively have it harder (if you think otherwise, I can only assume you're a woman on a blue account and no nothing about the male experience) However, I don't think men having it harder is a bad thing, a lot of positives can come from not growing up being coddled the way woman are.

It's also worth pointing out that the asker was in no way bashing women. The fact that your immediate reaction to my giving the asker some advice, was basically "you have no right to feel how you're feeling because women go through shit, too" is just one of the many reasons men have it harder. There is no support system for the men who need one.

There is a reason that the vast majority of homeless are men, Because if a woman fails, she can live with parents, or she can move in with some guy, or a myriad of other things.
