Religion, regardless of which one, needs to be thrown into the trash heap of history for good. What good is the separation of church and state if all these religious zealots in government just go on to create policies in the name of "god" anyway? Religion serves no purpose other than to brainwash and control people. It does nothing but divide people into separate groups that hate each other, and only affects "non-believers" in negative ways. Religion was created to control primitive people, and sadly, it seems to be doing just a good a job today. It's just sad and pathetic. Herd mentality is one of the pitfalls/downfalls of our species, and religion is the worst example of that.
