CARRYING A RIFLE while out on bail is OK, but a BATTON in a BACKPACK is grounds for arrest? Are you absolutely insane?

Political Corruption at the highest level, that's the problem. Bottom line that's what it is all about, we have been socially engineered to stop thinking for ourselves and started giving whack jobs platforms in order to allow corruption to take hold.

Our elections are bogus, the party boss cannot produce good candidates, voting is almost irrelevant anymore, when there is nobody, you want to vote for.

Upvote for the input, but down on the "there's nothing we can do" vibe. Turn up to primaries and vote for the candidates you like most, not the one you think is most likely to pick up votes from the "other side". You might be surprised at the number of people who appreciate an honest candidate. Talk someone you admire into standing in the primary. Talk to your neighbours.

Primaries are bogus to me as well... like other than Biden on the Dems side, voting for anyone else is as good as not voting. On the Republican side, well that's a hot mess to and nobody is really stepping up. I hope something changes soon.

You know that we're all not insane. Americans are not singular in beliefs. That said many people here are seemingly struggling with mental health. Our gun laws make it too easy, some states more easy than others, to get a gun. Some of the laws make zero sense. Like the baton ex.

I know and the media makes it seem like we're all insane so that doesn't help. To be fair there are really dumb people here and there are really dumb people everywhere lol. It's the dumbest that are the loudest so it seems like it's everyone.

The gun laws never made sense here , if you have a rifle with a certain stock that makes it more comfortable to use it makes it illegal in some states, New York has the strictest gun laws in the country where I am, other states don’t care what you have

You realize there are 150 million Germans and 330 million Americans, right?

Wrong, it's around 80 million, and you had to go back six months to find one mass shooting this year, and many years don't have one (which is why it made international news and got its own Wikipedia page).

Wikipedia has a separate page for each year of mass shootings in the USA (population 4x Germany, about half of the population of continental Europe). Rather irritatingly, Wikipedia lumps in places like Russia in their lists of mass shootings.

but why prohibit the possession of a stick? It is clearly an unevenly applied rule just like requiring masks on airplanes but it is okay to remove them to eat or drink. The covid virus knows the difference?
