We'll... it's really a power issue isn't it? Isreal is in power, they've been doing what they do to deal with their security threats... managing/chocking off Gaza, blockading it, shooting bombers and assassins, etc...

So the other guys strike first blow. These are murderers killing civilians and taking children. Not nice people. Granted... it's all "justiifed". Then... there is retaliation. So yes, it's retaliation. No different than if there was a fight in the hallway.

It's all terror to someone. A bomb is a bomb. All too many innocent people will get killed and maimed because of what these groups are going to do. Not all palestians are aligned behind these groups.

That's the problem with Isreal attacking and bombing... everyone suffers.

Truth is that Israel probably organised the attacks. The Israelis I believe fear the politics of the Palestinians more than the guns. Gerry Adams used to say that of the Unionists in Northern Ireland who along with factions of the British authorities would have preferred the troubles continued indefinitely. We've had nearly 30 years of peace, most of the military installations have been dismantled, all the state paramilitary organisations were disbanded, the police has been demilitarised and are more representative of the population and police both communities and Sinn Fein are now in power as the biggest party.
What the Palestinians should actually do is to get rid completely of their weapons and concentrate on building up their country because they are never ever going to be able to challenge the Israelis militarily and the Israelis would prefer them to fight. Between all the neighbouring Arab Muslim countries there is plenty of money that could be used to build up Palestine's infrastructure rather than their arsenal. The latest attack on Israel is exactly what the under fire Israeli government wanted, now prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his ultra nationalist right-wing party gets to stay in power and push their policy of Israeli settlements on Palestinian lands.

This is a convoluted blood feud but this will be retaliation as it has been peaceful for so long. Israel cannot and will not backoff even though the hostages will be killed. This is true terror and it needs to be met with 2,000 pound bombs, tanks, artillery and infantry.

So we have a new Axis consisting of Russia, Iran and China. We have seen Russia and now Iran enter the fray, I wonder when China will join in with attacks in the South China Seas and Taiwan. I have thought since March of 2022 that this would be a coordinated effort by the three of them. China is the one pulling the strings though.

China is organizing this to weaken the west. No signed agreement needed, especially in public. Russia went first and thought it would be quick, now Iran feels bolstered and China is waiting a couple of years once armaments are spent in Russia and Hezbollah. What China fears though is what they call a new Cold War which is basically the Democracies linking arms and pushing back via trade by cutting China out of much of the world’s lucrative markets.

The Israeli government was under pressure for heir treatment of the Palestinians internationally and internationally so it would make perfect sense for them to orchestrate an attack like this to justify their military actions.
