u +1 yBecause it's perfectly reasonable and acceptable for someone to have an opinion on an issue like abortion and the ethics and morality surrounding it.
Men are part of the equation. As tradesmen, businessmen, and construction workers, men build economies. As police officers and firefighters, we protect society. As farmers, we feed society. As soldiers, we defend society from our enemies. And ultimately, as husbands and fathers, we literally create children and families, the most basic building block of states and nations.
We make significant contributions to the life of society. We have a stake in it. That being so, we are perfectly allowed to have opinions against abortion.
Plus, if the pro-choice side is to be logically consistent on "no uterus, no opinion", then I want to know what they'd have to say about these...

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yFor me it's because many, or the most prominent women on the subject, have been exceedingly selfish. I'm not of the opinion a baby just pools into existence. It IS a clump of cells for a period of time. That being said, that clump of cells absolutely is not just hers. Those cells derive from both her and I. And it's wrong for her to just say "yeah, I'm going to terminate it."
Think of it like a company. If you and I start q company, and even if you do 90% of the work, if you wanted to terminate the company, should I not have a say as the co-owner or the company?
And none of this even considers the fact some people do believe the baby is a baby while (I'd claim) it's still just a clump of cells. And since science has proven everyone wrong time and time again, you and I can't definitively say we're right and those clump of cells aren't a conscious baby.
Look, I know it's unfair. SHE has to go through 9 months of pregnancy. But that's the risk you took, it's also the risk he took. I feel the same way if the roles were reversed and he had risky unprotected sex that resulted in a baby and he wanted it terminated but she didn't. He'd have to live with it and pay child support and everything else.
But it's not right for someone to not only take something that is partially yours, especially when it's living matter that one day will (or would) be your song or daughter, and decide to terminate it.19 Reply
Opinion Owner+1 yI can make loose assumptions, too.
There are a small number of people who feel like merely being in opposition to something makes them intellectually superior to the opposed. You're not. If intelligent, you'd support your stance with evidence.
Childlike behavior aside, you're welcome to refute anything I've said. I welcome your input but I can't say I feel all that compelled to concern myself over your opinion.- +1 y
The thing is, is as a co owner of a business you are expected to contribute or the company will get rid of you. Co owner or not you'll be a burden dragging the company down for a failure of existence.
I've only dated 2 men & never had an abortion. But working in medical I'll be blunt. Majority of abortions are due to the fact that the "man" in the relationship contributes little value except sperm donation. Or he was cowardly and upon learning of the woman's pregancy ran away like a kicked dog.
Opinion Owner+1 yThat doesn't answer my question. If we both co-own the company, should it solely be up to you to terminate it? Or should I, a co-owner, have a say in whether the company is terminated?
But yes, as a co-owner I am expected to. And in many ways, and in most cases, a man does. Most men and women get pregnant intentionally. During those 9 months, the man is working as well to provide for her and is physically taking care of his pregnant spouse/significant other. I was just using "90%" to reference the biological work of developing a baby inside of you, that a man does not have to deal with.
Also, if I am a co-owner of a company, I don't see how someone could forcefully get rid of me. But even so, that doesn't really apply to abortion.
And you can say that with the majority of abortions the man provides very little (which is anecdotal), but that doesn't mean "all men should not have a say on abortion." That'd be collectivism and it'd be saying that it's okay to neglect and harm the few if (debatably) the majority benefits.- +1 y

1.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Because they want to control what women do with their bodies and don't understand how difficult pregnancy, birth, raising a child is for woman compared to what men go through as a parent. They think it's easy to keep the baby even tho it's not
19 Reply- +1 y
Fuck Apple... really... you're going to stand behind that BS answer (My Body... My Choice)
Please give a man the respect to know what giving birth is all about... I'm a Man and I most likely know more about birth than you do (considering I'm twice ur age and have delivered 5 babies myself.)
Now granted most men are stupid, knock a girl up, and go on to the next girl...
But don't throw up shit about (oh how hard it is to have a baby... Im a girl and men don't know..) - +1 y
@Masterodd I've had 4 babies and delivered 2 of them. With one of my pregnancies i has issues that almost killed me and the baby. Pregnancy can literally be deadly. I would never blame a woman that didn't want to risk that. It's her body that has to be sacrificed during pregnancy not the man's. If i would have died guess what? My husband still would be have been here alive and healthy

That’s like me telling you you can’t have opinions on things like dogs if you don’t own one. Or on the military, or a number of a million other things that you don’t have or do.

It's everyone's business, because you don't have the "right" to kill the defenceless, and all because you may have "made a mistake", or it's "inconvenient" to have children.
- +1 y
@petera1987 So? It's your body, its the temple you take care of. What if some woman made it a law to cut off your balls because some of bigoted reason? You'd possibly feel conflicted and would want to have a say in it.
Please educate yourself before you put down senseless comments such as yours. - +1 y
@Peanut_Lemon really... castration vs murder... wow you should have been aborted.
- +1 y
@Masterodd I know! And you're the reason condoms should be worn at all times!
- +1 y
I'm neither a Christian nor a republican.
+1 yBecause they can’t mind their own business. Unless it’s theirs or they’re going to take care of it, they’re not really a stakeholder. And even when they are, they’re second tier. First tier is always the girl and her medical circle of care.

@davado88 no, it's about her rights. And there is no 3rd party, if it's early enough.
- +1 y
@davado88 no, it's an abortion.
- +1 y
@davado88 no, you're the imbecile. Early on, there are abortions that do not involve 3rd parties. A third party is a human being that has a brain, a heart and nerves that feel pain.
In the beginning, none of those exist. Just a single cell, or a small number of cells. Therefore, what you have is an abortion where no 3rd party is involved.
Get it? Does that make sense? - +1 y
@davado88 and my point. It doesn't make sense to you because you're stupid.
Well, childbearing is a life necessity. Just as work is. Imagine if all men suddenly decided they wouldn't work if their work benefited a woman, would women then mind their own business and not complain?

Abortion IS murder = Pro-Life - +1 y
@masterodd - are you going to contribute to the bills of childcare, are you going to get up at odd hours for feedings, deal with the terrible 2s, etc., etc., etc.
I ask as someone who works in medical and seen women getting abortions because the men aren't men, they're sperm donars and have no value in her life and less than no value in the kid's life. - +1 y
@SakuraBlossoms87 Yes I would... you must have missed my other post about being a father.
But as you just said "the men aren't men, they're sperm donars and have no value in her life and less than no value in the kid's life." than why in the world did she/them fuck him in the first place.
They knew he was awful but yet still decided to make a baby with him. - +1 y
@masterodd - haven't you read some of the posts on this site? Female posters asking questions about "men" - more like complete losers / douchebags / trash - that make you seriously wonder what is WRONG with them. Like there was one who was thinking of keeping her cheater "boyfriend" after he fathered a child with someone else & said he didn't wanna have anything to do with his kid. You couldn't define low-life any better than this

Strangely enough, that wasn't accepted by most as a reason to reject the highly experimental "vaccines" many of us were compelled under duress to be jabbed with.
- +1 y
Vaccination has nothing to do with this
- +1 y
It has everything to do with this, because "my body, my choice" (bodily autonomy) was used as an argument against the promotion of the idea that the vaccines should be mandatory, but many who thought this argument to be valid when it came to abortion didn't agree. Why not?
- +1 y
Again this about abortion.
- +1 y
The original question is, yes, but this specific comment of yours ("Our bodies, our choice") isn't. It's about the principle of bodily autonomy, and I was merely pointing out a blatant double-standard in its application.
