I have a lot of men in my life. All of the men in my family, my boyfriend, and a lot of male friends too. I love all of them dearly. I don’t think any of them are less than me and I value what they bring to the table as people. I believe there are some ways in which men are just different than women, but most of the time I find it refreshing to hang out with some male friends after spending a lot of time with my female friends.

For example, I’ve noticed a lot of men keep their childish spirit longer. They aren’t afraid to be idiots in a fun way. I like to play video games with my male friends, we go outside and run around and goof off, really just be silly. It’s a little odd since a lot of my female friends actually seem to look down on this type of behavior. Again, I know this doesn’t apply to every man and every woman, this is just what I’ve noticed.

They’re also the friends that I make the more darker jokes with, because men typically find gross/dark/abrasive humor funny way longer than women (I’m not talking dark as in racist, homophobic, etc, that type of humor isn’t exclusive to one sex and isn’t good no matter who’s doing it).

I like observing the more pure ways that men interact with each other. A lot of people talk about how when women aren’t around, men just make sexist remarks all the time. I genuinely don’t think that’s true of a lot of men. Sometimes I’ll pass a group of men talking enthusiastically and they’re actually just talking about some big rock they saw or their favorite episode of the Clone Wars.

The interactions I have online with men are often pretty negative, However, I typically like the men I meet in real life. They’re funny, enthusiastic, and willing to step up to help others. I really do appreciate the men that I have in my life.

I found it's typically about the person's immediate life I've had friends who say it mean that if they never interacted personally with another male it wouldn't matter. I've heard many people say the only thing a man is good for is making babies. As in they can work and pay their own bills, buy their own things, cook and clean after themselves. Live by themselves and many of them even say that they bring themselves better pleasure than a man has ever given them. They have their family and friends for social life and don't have to worry about the man choosing things they don't want to do as all they need to consider is their own thoughts.

I also think many women have experienced man-babies who can't cook/clean/do their own laundry or manage their own finances and simply think why take on that burden.

I've also heard many people saying if I get in a relationship now we're each going to have our own house/home and just do weekends together. I like being by myself too much, and having my own life too much.

It's a corporate money grab, that's why. AA... of which White women have been the biggest beneficiary of? Why Ray Rice was banned, even though he was never arrested for so much as a traffic ticket? Check your tv ads from major corporations lately? Do you know who the fastest growing segment of NFL fans are? Women... women... women, and women. If you're a corporate CEO-and thus a MAJOR political donor-and you see this is the case... or if you're that politician and you see this is the case, what are you going to do? You're going to cater your ads and your products and your beliefs to EXACTLY what they want to hear... and if you're a politician... you're going to pass laws that absolve them in EVERY WAY POSSIBLE of responsibility. Because they'll dump their money in your lap, keep you rich, and keep voting you in. It's very easy to see. This is why we're now called the American Sheeple.

it's not socially acceptable. plenty of things people say aren't acceptable. it doesn't mean people can't say them. for every negative word said about men there is at least the same said or more about women.

Because men themselves excuse their poor behavior with "boys will be boys" so society doesn't expect anything of them from a young age.

Because men themselves excuse their incompetence with children saying stuff like "it's just a man thing to forget birthdays, anniversaries, what school the children go to, what their middle names are, what eye colors they have". Imagine one of your children goes missing and the police asks you the full name of your child, their eye color, their school name and grade, their date of birth, and you can't answer any of them.

You can't simultaneously weaponize your incompetence to make women take up more tasks and then complain when women see men as useless and media jokes about the incompetent father. Rise up, do better.

I promise you the men they’re referring to that are useless are not the men doing those jobs. They are the ones who are chronically online complaining about why they have to pay for dates and approach women.

Men who do those jobs listed tend to be traditional men, who provide for their families and live with purpose. Ones who do believe in paying for all of the dates of their women and approach women they have interest in. You, and most of the men on this site, are not that man.

Men are only capable of doing those jobs because a woman grew, birthed and cared for them. It's just how our world works. Women are more valuable because we give life. Men do all the background shit because they have the opportunity to unlike women that are busy making life even possible. Doesn't exactly make y'all useless but does force y'all to do other things in life that are replaceable type of jobs.

Because it doesn't matter what they say when speaking about men in general and not a specific man or a specific group of men. For example it is not okay to say "Bill Smith is useless" or that "Black men or useless." However, it may be okay to say, "White men are useless" because that is almost like speaking about men in general.

For some reason society gives a pass to people making fun of the people who are the either the majority or the people who are seen to be more powerful. Throughout history men have had more rights than women and had the better paying jobs, this is changing now but because of this history people think its okay. It's the same thing with making fun of white people. Its socially accepted to make fun of white people but not any other minority race in America. It isn't right but thats how people are.
