5.8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Didn't even happen. Your sources suck. Even Al Jazeera admits the explosion was by either Hamas or an affiliated group.
The story also never passed the sniff test. If a JDAM-500 could reliably kill 500+ people in any scenario, the USAF would cream its jeans, but that would also pose a problem since those smaller versions of the JDAM exist specifically to minimize collateral damage. Israel has also never, ever made it a point to bomb a target like that without first giving a warning, either in the form of an earlier fake bomb, or a courtesy phone call (in either case Hamas has a decades long history of stopping civilians from leaving in order to make the aftermath as bad as possible for propaganda reasons). You can debate forever on whether or not that practice is ethical given they know how Hamas typically makes it worse if they catch wind, but the reality is not even we (the US) are that restrained. Even if the rest of the claim couldn't also be debunked off numbers, video, and satellite imaging alone, the most charitable benefit of the doubt is that Hamas deliberately engineered a war crime themselves to blame on Israel.
The night time video footage clearly shows it's a rocket fired from nearby, that for whatever reason failed to propel itself enough and fell down near the hospital. Then after the sun comes up, it's evident that the hospital (other than an awning) is clearly still there, and the rocket blew up in the parking lot. Unless the world's densest homeless camp was in that parking lot, the numbers aren't even remotely plausible at that point, and even if that entire building came down, 500 would be an extremely lofty estimate. As it turns out, the real original claim was "dozens" killed, and then some idiot reporter decided to get a statement from the "government of Gaza" (that's Hamas) who said "over 500."
Sorry, but you have to be a complete ignoramus on the subject to believe this crap, or in CNN's news ticker's case, deliberately deceitful.

+1 yWell, If you are at war, its against international law to use hospitals as shields. This is the same as taking human shields.
Israel also dropped pamphlets once before they started bombing anything warning people to evacuate. And what did Hamas do? Took the population hostage.
I feel for the civilians caught up in this, I really do. But I have no sympathy for the people who start a conflict, kidnap civilians, mostly babies and small children, and then behead those children on video.
Both Israel and Hamas blaim each other for what happened at the hospital. But given the behavior of the 2, I'm inclined to believe Israel. Hamas has continually attacked civilians in this conflict and continue to do so while crying victim on the international stage.
People forget that no nation, has to sit by while it's people are slaughtered by a terrorist group. Furthermore, that same terrorist group shouldn't be given the time of day to play the victim in a conflict they started.
Wars are fought and lost and territories get conquered all the time. That doesn't mean you get to break international law to attack civilians.
Your holy book which contradicts your "religion of peace" facade because it actually calls for the deaths of Jews and Christians and anyone who doesn't convert and believe, states women are property and not only should be mutilated, but enslaved, and calls for the deaths of homosexuals; also doesn't justify killing civilians.
Ultimately, its a conflict which has nothing to do with my country. And therefore, none of my business what Israel does to protect itself. Overall, the conflict itself isn't that important to me.
Violating international law does concern me. Of which, Hamas did right out the gate. Then continued to do it, then blamed Israel for its actions, all while playing the victim card. Fuck off with that.00 Reply
Of course Isreal is a terrorist country, and their God father America, bloodthirsty hatemongers. They killed over 10000 people in past 75 years. Most of them are women, children and olds. I too condemn killing of innocent people in isreal. Anyone who enjoys, cheers and supports killing of innocent people can be something else but not a Human.

Yep. The doctrine of Total War was quite effective for a long part of human history. Lost a bunch of clinics and whatnot at Nagasaki and Hiroshima, didn't drag out another 20 years like Afghanistan did. Which one is really more inhumane there?
You just went up several notches in my book.

+1 yI am reading conflicting reports. Was it an Israeli bomb or Hamas rocket? I'm seeing both stated.
The bottom line, it is a WAR. Hamas started the war by invading Israel and hunting down and murdering families and civilians anywhere they could find them and they've captured people from various countries as hostages.
This is beyond evil.
I 100% support the military goal of wiping Hamas off of the face of the earth.
Civilian casualties are sad and I wish they did not happen but you can't have an urban war without that.

Turns out the rocket didn't even hit the hospital. It was a misfire from Islamic Jihad and it hit the parking lot. No 500 casualties. Sickening how people are so quick to just blindly believe whatever fits their narrative

Hamas bombed a hospital in Israel. Some how, that didn't make the news
8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Well, unsurprisingly no one who fell for Hamas propaganda has had the decency to admit HamS flat out lied. Nor did propagandists who pretend to be journalists even bother the fact check a terror groupās claim.
But at least we see how dishonest these modern-day Nazis are.

+1 yWhen a terrorist organization puts their headquarters in the basement of a hospital and the people don't rise up against it then there will be collateral damage.
30 Reply 2.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. My thoughts are it is a war crime and Israel should suffer the consequences.
I think the whole thing is the wrong response to the one attack from Hamas. No thought went into it.
Palestinians are truly the victims here. Stuck in a country ruled by a terrorist organization and indoctrinated into an absurd religion from birth. They are not only physically trapped but also mentally.

+1 yIt's unfortunate, not just for the hundreds of dead and their families, and anyone else in the area who needs a hospital. It's very unfortunate for the already volatile situation in the area. Israel and Hamas have both denied responsibility. So, nobody did it. But that hospital isn't there any more.
00 Reply 897 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I doubt that because the news comes from the Hamas (a participant of the war) and it can't be proven from a third part source. Besides that I heard news that the rocket actually hit the parking lot of the hospital and not the hospital itself.

+1 yDon't jump to conclusions. There are reports that the hospital was struck by a wayward Hamas missile, not an Israeli air strike. Will we ever know what really happened?
10 Reply 3.8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. 27.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I heard that Israel is claiming that they were not responsible. I am not sure. However if Hamas wants to have a military installation in a hospital so that the patients can act as human shields it is on them when civilians get killed.

00 Reply5.3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I think putting hospital in quotes is bad. I also think we don't have all the facts and it could genuinely have been a mistake by Hamas.

I doubt a rocket fired by Hamas could have caused such massive destruction. Their rockets are actually really feeble. But I await further information.
- +1 y
@AngryCarl2
Their rockets are really feeble?
Good joke.
How many homes have they destroyed in Israel?
- +1 y
@AngryCarl2 Exactly you don't need to be a military expert, just a normal rocket won't destroy a hospital, c'mon.
It was definitely an IDF airstrike. Hamas rockets made out of JVC pipe and 20 pound warheads aren't going to realistically blow up a hospital and kill nearly 1000 people. If it was a weapons depot, then you'd expect burn marks on the victims and secondary explosions, but there was none of that. Instead, the scene shows victims with shrapnel damage, which is consistent with a JDAM. The sound from the video of the bomb impact is also that of a JDAM. - +1 y
@EtherealWriter: Well, turns out the hospital wasnāt destroyed or even hit. The Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket hit the parking lot. And thank goodness 500 people werenāt killed by the terroristsā rocket.

Opinion Owner+1 yHamas don't have any powerful bomb. Zionists and their blind supporters are blaming hamas for doing so but the world knows Zionists barbarians terrorists were already issuing threats of bombing the hospitals schools and civilians structures. Some Zionists accepted that they bombed the hospital then deleted their tweets. There is plenty of evidence on social media especially Tweeter aka X. Zionists have powerful bombs given to them by USA and European union.
