She understood human nature and how our emotions work. Have you read the book "How Emotions are Made"? In short... they come out of our "body budget". Hungry people think differently. This is shown to be true for juries as well. If you are being judged, you want to make sure the judge is well fed!

all i can think about is the fear that hostages who got abducted are feeling.

when people complain about small stuff, it is even more absurd like "so THAT is important to you now". sometimes i feel like the only human human on the planet.

Personally I'd feed him until he trust me then slip in the poison.
