Who is actually in the wrong? Why are people defending Palestine?

Israel and Palestine are at war because Gaza invaded Israel a week or 2 ago. The terrorist forces in Gaza directly targeted the civilian population in Israel. The terrorist forces in Gaza causing over 1000 victims (children, old people and parents), the terrorists entered their houses and shot them without any warning or hesitation, this is the reason why Israel declared war.
But Palestine does not recognize the state of Israel and the terrorist leadership in Gaza has as their objective the extermination of the state of Israel and its people.
The Muslim community does not agree with the re-establishment of the state of Israel in 1947 on their land of origin, which was under Muslim rule since the 7th century.
Israel has proposed 6 plans for peace and coexistence with the Muslim community in Palestine, but the Palestinian authorities have refused all proposals so far, because they do not want the presence of Jews in any way on the land they claim as their own.

Israel and Palestine aren't at war. Israel is at war with Hamas, a terrorist group that Palestinian citizens voted for to run the Gaza Strip. The reason they voted them into office was because their reason for existing is to exterminate the Jews. You make your decision as to who is right or wrong. Oh, I didn't even talk about Oct. 7th.
