What do you think about this redistricting forecast for 2030?

At first sight it looks bad for Democrats, as all states that are predicted to lose seats are either Blue or Purple, while all seats that are expected to gain seats are either Red or Purple.

Especially interesting is Oregon, because this state just got a new seat in 2020 census. But it seems after the fast growth of early 2010s the growth slowed rapidly in late 2010s and early 2020s.

The democrats have run their districts into the ground and anyone that can move is getting out while they still can get top dollar for their homes. I hope to be joining them soon. It makes perfect sense to me. even with all the illegal aliens flowing into the country with all of them getting welfare it still will not be enough to effect the imbalance.

Oregon lost Republicans from east Oregon to Idaho. If things keep following the same trend Oregon might lose half their territory to Idaho.

I checked and only one county in Eastern Oregon lost population (Grant County).

If Oregon is losing population, it's because of Portland that lost 2,5% of population between 2020 and 2022.

No what is happening is you have people from California and Western Oregon moving over the Cascades to Eastern Oregon for more affordable housing and to escape rioting and people that use to be Eastern Oregon residence cashing out based on increased demand and moving out of the state completely to get away from left coast politics. So the Eastern counties are staying about even in population, but they are losing all of of their Republican rural residents to Idaho.

Well I have family that use to live in Deschutes and Crook Counties and that's what they tell me. They tell me things like our entire congregation all moved out of town to a specific city in Idaho and it's happening all over like that. It's like a reverse Oregon Trail. I bleive them to, because one of the cities they use to live in was basically 95% Republican and like 100% White people when I visited them there like 15 years ago and then in 2019 they were having BLM marches and riots in that city. It's changed a lot. You should probably go back and look at your data. Maybe there are enough Republicans moving out of Portland to keep the political balance, but Eastern Oregonians are definitely moving in mass.

I never heard anything like that until my aunt told me... Literally entire churches are deciding to move all of their families out of the state in coordination. It's not like one or two people ending up in the same Idaho city by coincidence. They are making active choices to relocate entire communities to a different state. It just seemed really weird to me when I heard it, so it made an impression that Oregon is truly broken...
