On it's own, no. What was a mistake was not having women make comparable contributions to society to earn the vote.

Today, men have to sign up for the selective service which means that the government that gets elected can drag them overseas to fight in a bloodbath that may or may not be in any way beneficial to their country. As a result, men tend have an aversion to voting for warmongers.

Men have also made up the majority of the working class, especially the ones that make up the foundation of society, so they are more likely to vote for things that make their jobs more meaningful, such as methods that do not wreck the economy.

In the past, the men were the ones who voted because the vote was meant to represent the views of the family, so men at that time were voting for things that made their jobs with protecting and providing for their family easier. Nowadays, less and less people care about families but that is another issue entirely.

Women aren't expected to go to war or be a breadwinner so they don't have to worry about these things. With the lack of incentives to look into how the society works, many women seem to just fall for the things that sounds good on paper but have consequences when put in practice, like raising the minimum wage or free college/healthcare.

There are some other factors such as women tending to be more agreeable in which they tend to not tolerate dissenters as much.

I hear people wanting to repeal the 19th and these are the points that they make to justify it but I think that is a very nuclear option, because there are women who do pay attention to politics beyond a cursory level and they will get caught in that blast. I am more in favor of what Ramaswamy presented which is to make a civics exam mandatory to vote. I hate that this is even an option too but I feel that people in general are so ignorant of how the government and the economy works that this is the only way we can have any faith in the voters anymore.

@yasquen Yeah that sounds good too, and I once thought that was a decent solution as well. However, we live in an age where even college professors couldn't tell you what a woman is without making a circular definition.

You could argue that they are trying to appease pressures outside of academics but what kind of professors are they if they can't even challenge the idea that a woman isn't an adult human female? They're pathetic.

That's why I am all for the civics exam but there is still the risk of them being incredibly biased and having a question like: "who was the biggest meanest and orangiest man of all time?"

The evidence of what happened to cultures afterwards would make it a fairly obvious it was an enormous mistake.

The reason may be the female mind is designed to address things in a feminine and nurturing way. Where as goverment is an inherently masculine system being based upon violence and force.

The feminine way of thinking (seeking protection & nurturing) which biology per-disposes the female mind to. Drives women to disproportionately favor both being easily abused systems and selecting 'string' men (politicians) to most likely to seek such power to abuse.

In nature women's predisposition rely upon a man's investment in them and their children personalty to keep abusive power in-check, although clearly that doesn't always work. In the unrelated and very distant relationship with the state there is no such check.

The result was exactly what we got, an ever more abusive relationship with the State.

I think there are reasonable issues that arise when women were given the vote. Im personally not in favour of repealing the 19th. Im however in favour off strong voter reform in general.

No. Because you can serve at 18, and if you can die for your country, you should have a voice. As for using property ownership as a requirement? Also a no. Not everyone can afford to purchase a home, but they are still citizens of this country, and deserve a voice.
