I think it is acceptable to provide Israel with weapons and ammo. Hezb 'Allah is a branch of the Iranian military. If they step in from Lebanon, we should deploy Marines.

I think Israel can handle it without help

True, the Hamas have no where near the manpower or resources to compete with Israel - it’s more of the unintended consequences I’m worried about.

In general I’m against funding foreign wars with American tax payer dollars. That said, stockpiles of weaponry that were reserved for Israeli defense and American operations in the region that were stored in Israel for such a day, were pull away from Israel by the Biden administration to supply his Nazis in Ukraine. Those same Nazis in Ukraine and the Taliban whom was given $80 billion worth of US military equipment by Biden supplied Hamas with weaponry for this war. You can see footage of Palestinians running around the Gaza battlefield with M4s that originate from America. Being that Biden and the Democrats created the problem, selling weapons to Israel to remedy the imbalance of power seems justifiable so that Israel can defend themselves and reestablish stability in the region. Israelis have a right to defend themselves against Hamas aggression. That said Mossad shouldn’t have allowed the attack of civilians in the first place. While I agree ISIS/HAMAS/PLO and all the other communists need to be dealt with swiftly, I’m not too found of sacrificing civilians to get that casus belli. Innocent lives should never be sacrificed.

American soldiers should not be deployed to Israel to engage Hamas. That said placing a couple of carrier strike group in the region to discourage neighbors from expanding the conflict is reasonable. Observing the conflict from a distance and supply intelligence isn't out of consideration nor is defending the skies over Israel from rocket attacks utilizing laser systems to prevent civilian causalities.

Fair point, but the other great powers will get involved no matter what - too much money and oil in the Middle East.

It's not gonna save them when they die. We have oil also we just refuse to drill any because of the senile old fragile weak man in the white house.

Yes, but supply chain adaptability will take years even though the US is blessed and one of the few countries that does not rely on imports to survive. In short, you’ll be paying much higher gas prices for at least a year or two. Around 1 in 2 Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.

In addition, most transportation vehicles still rely on oil and gas, so the general rule is that when oil goes up, so does everything else, only making the inflation problem worse.

Gas has been up since Mr potato head took office. And yes people are living paycheck to paycheck but that's only because they can afford their bills, gas and groceries if there lucky.

Yes i do. I'm just saying. This country is already down hill as it is.

Then you know that if the chaos in the Middle East escalates, it could very well disrupt oil supplies and that would increase demand (oil run - similar to a bank run) and decrease supplies simultaneously, thus an increase in oil prices.

Also, I’d have to disagree that this country is going “down hill.” We have problems no doubt, but America is more powerful than it ever has been on a geopolitical stage because Europe needs us more than ever since the end of the World Wars due to Russia and the Indo Pacific needs us more than ever due to China’s aggression as well.

At least their president didn't make a run for it like ours would. Just using us now for money for who knows what. We sent them our ammo, guns, military stuff cause apparently they don't have any.

I didn’t ask you what our respective Presidents would have done, I’m asking you what do you think would happen if Russia succeeded in taking over Ukraine?

No we (US) have to many problems with our own country to stick our nose in other world problems and/or conflicts. By the way can you imagine the cost and damage a third world war would cost in todays prices.

I am afraid that when you are somebody's ally you need to have their back. We should get involved but there needs to be a plan to get out too.
