The United States has been trying to get into Iran for decades, they just need an excuse.

Nope, if anything there should be an enforced no fly zone. It needs to be deescalated and not allowed to spread further. There should then be a mix of Saudi and Egyptian forces put on the ground to act as a stabilisation forces aka peacekeeping with Israel withdrawing back to its borders.
