It's how we catch the fuckers for bigger things, when they disobey small laws! You really aren't the brightest if you don't understand that is how a lot of modern policing works. People doing 30 in a 20 will often be wanted for unpaid fines or missed court hearings and the like. These people have a profile and personality trait. It's why most crime and problems can be linked to a minority of people. Remove those people and you correct a lot of problems.
It's not like in the movies where you're catching supervillains and shooting out with gang enforcers. It's about catching perps out in smaller things, so they draw attention as bigger rule breakers. Proper people will not want the hassle, and will correct their ways. Criminals and assholes will not.
As for guns, most of the civilised world does not rely on guns. The US is not a civilised place. Overpriced good teeth and guns are all America is going to be remembered for. Maybe Atlantis was similar, and that is why they removed it from history...

It’s because of guns that candy asses like you were sent packing back overseas.
- +1 y
Wrong! Instead of catching bad guys who commit crimes you would be criminalizing otherwise law-abiding citizens. The reason people are pulled over in school zones isn't to find people who commit major crimes, it is to discourage people from driving too fast where there are likely to be children walking.
I know at least three people who own fully automatic weapons. None of them are criminals, but you seem to want them to be considered as such. - +1 y
You say something? I'm no good advocate okay but god damn it. People just too damn crazy out there and that's the only thing that's keeping people alive is being having to concealed weapon see and that's going to not the sense back into a lot of these people who's running around here acting like they're crazy cuz I don't believe nobody out. There's crazy people just acting that way but when they go out there and try to take with someone has worked hard for and surprise surprise. They got some leg chase in the ass. Now straighten them out. I'm not going to advocate. If it's up to me this world would be gun free but until people start acting right? Hey it's a necessity. If people want things don't take it up from other people who went out there worked hard and earned it. Go do it yourself. Get a job, earn it yourself. Just no need for a life of crime that's laziness. It's plenty jobs out there so if a criminal or someone acting like a criminal happen to come across somebody who's concealing a weapon and pop out they get shot. That's the chance they take. I'm sorry to say that cuz I love everybody don't want to see anyone get hurt but people got to start acting right in this world. Enough of this BS. Tired of it. Hell got governments running around causing all more BS than anybody, but we don't need that here at home or anywhere in this world. It's enough crap going on in the world. It's time we start respecting each other
00 Reply413 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Banning guns would be the dumbest option possible. Illegal guns would just explode. And if gangs or illegal actors don't increase firearm sale prices and were to just inflate the market there would be millions or billions more untraceable firearms. And to make matters worse people without training would feel the need. We'd be in a even more wild west than we already are. As the last time Obama tried to crack down on firearms most gun shops were sold out bare nude out of munitions. if anything a firearm ban in the US would just result in the crazies going nuts. There are too many in the US that would be "you can have my firearms after I've killed you." Mindset.
We live in a society here in the US that has forgotten how dirty humanity will fight for things. Its like how the south sometimes jokes about receeding or staring a civil war with the north. But forget what drove the south and farmers to surrender is the fact the north knew the South had the military and forces out numbering the north by 2:1 up to 5:1. In places like Texas.
The solution was well the land was all farm land and food. The way how the north won was starving the south. You torch enough farm land and the reality started to sink in. And more modernly all it would take is some GMO insects and there's a green way to destroy all the crops. Some of the most brutal deaths in American history wasn't by bullet, cannon or even bayoneted. Its flat out cannibalism.00 Reply5.9K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. No. Firearm related homicides hovered around 15,000 and 16,000 for years until the covid terror campaign. Last year there were around 21,000 ... out of 330,000,000 million citizens and over 450,000,000 people in the country at any one time.
The FBI says that 80% of firearm homicides are gang related. So that means that there were around 4,200 non-gang related homicides last year.
Just to put that in perspective, 40,000 people die from accidental falls every year. If one looks at all causes of death, non-gang related firearm deaths don't even make the list.
But there has been a concerted effort by wealthy and powerful elites for years to make gun violence out to be the greatest worry we face. They use the same powers of propaganda that they use for "pandemics" and global warming. Their goal is to disarm American citizens, NOT to save lives.31 Reply- 1.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
+1 yAll it would do is screw over law abiding citizens. Criminals that continuously violate law and acquire guns despite being forbidden because of felonies have no regard for the law. They would have the advantage and every incentive to control and cause fear of the people who do follow the law. Dystopia society.
Cops rarely solve and end a threat in the moment. They are there after the incident happens and it could have been avoided if the laws weren't so slanted to protecting criminals more than a victim these days. Rather than wait for the cops to come clean up my corpse or someone I love I would rather have the power, green light minus repercussion to protect myself and live another day. Criminals lose their right to live the second they threaten me or someone I love with violence. Fuck those clowns.
10 Reply 495 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Banning guns isn't going to happen in the USA, so commies just need to get over it. America will not fall. They want guns banned here so they can start a civil war/genocide and go door to door in our country raping, murdering, and robbing people like the Nazis in WWII or like Hamas in Israel. America is the hardest country in the world to conduct a land invasion because of our second amendment right. You've seen What happened in Israel. You've seen how a tyrannical government allowed it to happen to citizens of Israel just like our tyrannical government allowed it to happens to the citizens of Maine. Our intelligence agencies knew about the Maine suspect and they stood down as well. It is the citizen that needs to arm and defend themselves... People need to wake the fuck up. Shit is orchestrated. It will continue to happen until you remove the tyrants from government and take personal responsibility for your country.
00 Reply5.3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. There is no good timing for this question, mass shootings are almost a daily occurrence in the US. "As of September 30, at least 571 people have been killed and 1,947 other people have been injured in 487 shootings." Hell, Wikipedia doesn't even update the count every time one happens, probably too much work. Don't forget that the latest, sorry last Wednesday's (there have been five more in the four days since), shooter was a law abiding citizen until he killed 19 people one day.

@Agagagagaga Whatever, it's up to 12 mass shootings since last Wednesday, now.
"Two people were killed and three others were injured after an argument between neighbors escalated into a shootout."
"Six people were shot, three of whom were killed, after a fist fight escalated into a shooting."
"Two teenagers were killed and four others were injured after a shooting broke out at a party."
"Six teenagers were injured in a shooting at a party."
"Four people were shot and one was stabbed at a late night Halloween party outside of Azusa." - +1 y
13 shootings? Good heavens.
I don’t care if it were 13,000 if it meant that people could still defend themselves from their attacker. You want to disarm women, the elderly, and disabled people so they can be robbed, raped, and killed.
No one cares what you want regarding firearm legislation. You don’t even live in this country. You simply don’t count. - +1 y
@Agagagagaga Faced with the fact that knife murders are more prevelant per capita in the US than the UK, and that 15x as many murders in the US are with firearms, you jus say you don't give a shit about people's lives. Have you ever considered the possibilty you might be an immoral monster?
- 1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
+1 yAs you allude to banning guns is not only a violation of unalienable rights under the US Constitution but moronic. Criminals don't care about the law. That's what makes them criminals. So passing a law to ban guns is like passing a law to make crime illegal. STUPID!
As with everything else they push, the left doesn't really care about people. It's all about using an issue as a political battering ram to fool the ignorant into thinking they care about them when it is really about gaining power so they can control them.
00 Reply - 792 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
+1 yI don't think it can work now because they're too many guns out there and many current law abiding citizens would immediately disregard the new law and never give up all their guns. It's too ingrained in American society as a "god" given right to have guns.
Most Americans are not reckless by the way. A very small percentage of the population reek havoc with guns. It's the fact that their so easily attained. And think of it this way. Not every American owns a gun. Say half of Americans that are old enough to get a gun are. It's probably way under 1 percent that are randomly shooting people. That makes us all look crazy. Regardless this small percentage randomly killing people is too much and unnecessary.
I have no idea how to fix the idea but I do know more guns isn't going to fix it for sure.

+1 yIt worked in Australia. They're not totally banned, but very restricted. We've never had a school shooting, and gun violence is relatively rare and usually related to motorcycle/drug gangs. No one walks around afraid that they could get shot. If guns are harder for the general public to obtain, they're also harder for criminals to obtain.
25 Reply- +1 y
Australia is a small country with probably not even half the guns the U. S has nor would be have smuggling problems etc.. Chicago is strict on guns and yet we still seem to have gun violence...
- +1 y
Australia certainly has a smaller population, but the stats still count proportionally. Per 100,000 people, the US has over 10x times more gun deaths than Australia on average. It's even something like 20x times more deaths in some US states.
As I say, it doesn't even cross our mind that we might get shot. Assaulted, attacked, sure those are real fears, but actually getting shot is very unlikely. Yes we do have problems with smuggling by boat. - +1 y

+1 yYes. A lot of cases involve a law abiding citizen with non-law abiding relatives in the same home, and if the law abiding one didn't have a gun then the non law abiding one wouldn't have access to a gun either. Or a law abiding gun salesperson, if they didn't sell guns, couldn't provide guns to a non law abiding citizen. N so on. It wouldn't stop all, ofc, but it's stupid to say it wouldn't help.

+1 yYes.
It will not eliminate gun crime but it will significantly hamper the circulation and acceptability of guns among the general public.
This would make enforcing gun laws and controls more effective.
It will also lessen the supply of illegal guns and make it harder and more expensive to obtain them.
Ofc what's really a concern is 3d printed ghost guns. Can't exactly easily control those.01 Reply- +1 y
Didn't exactly make a difference in Chicago.. Strict on guns and yet the # 1 city for gun violence... Go figure..
A person intent on committing one of the worst crimes of all isn't going to care about breaking gun laws.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yOf course not! That's exactly why gun bans are a terrible idea. They actually WOULD make a difference--they'd encourage MORE shootings because he d-bags doing it would be more confident that none of their victims would be armed.
The truth is, gun bans may work well in places that already have almost no guns, but there a truly awful ideas in places like the US that are armed to the teeth.

Don’t be ridiculous. How could there be even more shootings than today - they already happen constantly! Are people in retirement homes or children in kindergarten supposed to shoot each other then?
It would, but not a good difference. It would reduce the self defense capabilites of a lot of people. I imagine burglars and home invaders would become more bold as well.

- +1 y
@jjj101010. Are you saying we don't have gun laws? Are you saying that saving one life would be worth it if our laws on car ownership were similar to Australia's laws on guns?
- +1 y
@Lliam ur car owner rules are like Australias gun laws. People are required to pass a test before they drive, they can have their licence taken off them if they misbehave, u are prohibited from using them under the influence or drink or drugs, u have to register ur vehicle with the authorities, seems like even applying those rules to guns would be a start.
- +1 y
@iioooio. LOL Except you don't need to prove a reason to own a car before you are allowed to own one. You only need a license in order to operate a car on a public highway. You aren't banned from owning certain kinds of cars.
All you are talking about are laws that regulate how you drive on public highways. You may not be aware of it, but we have plenty of laws regulating the "use" of guns.
And again, out over 80,000,000 legal gun owners in this country, there were only a little bit over 4,000 non-gang-related homicides in 2022. - +1 y
@Lliam 4000 lives could be saved every year. 4000 families would not have to wake up one morning with their father or son dead. Every 20 years that’s the capacity of a NFL stadium wiped out and gone. No other western country has this issue. U like guns I get it. No point trying to change ur mind. But by allowing guns to be so readily available and not trying to prevent it, means allowing those deaths to continue.
- +1 y
Yeah, why can't we prevent 40,000 vehicular deaths? You don't care about those because you like motor vehicles. You just live in a fairy tale when it comes to guns.
And what cherry picked "western countries" are you referring to? Mexico, for example? It is more comparable to the U. S. in size and density that Australia. - +1 y
@Lliam UK, apologies, I should have said first world. There are plenty of poor countries that are controlled by drug cartels in the west. Why would u want to aspire to be like Mexico, they are hardly a player on the world stage. Look to the G7 who are meant to be the 7 most influential and powerful countries on earth, Canada, France, the UK, Italy, Germany, and Japan. Plenty to pick from there, none have this issue
t’s like saying the death penalty is a good idea as other countries to it then u realise u r in the company of North Korea, China, Sudan, Saudi Arabia and Iran, not really aspirational to use such countries as comparisons.
Preventing gun deaths does not mean that I don’t care about car deaths, that’s a straw man’s argument, like saying why donate to cancer research because heart attacks are still going to happen. - +1 y
Nice cherry picking, dude.
Americans certainly have no desire to be like the UK. That is nothing to aspire to. And I don't know why you people are so concerned about the U. S. other than the fact that you are propagandized by your state media into feeling fortunate to be loyal "subjects" and not sovereign citizens.
+1 yAbsolutely not. One easy reason is general public does not realize everything it takes to use force legally. Public screws up, bad guy gets off and good guy goes to jail

Opinion Owner+1 y@jahaims I bet you it’s most likely social rejects who are mass shooters. The fact they were socially rejected their whole life messed up their mental health and psychology. It’s also true men have a higher testosterone level than women. testosterone can affect men aggression but it’s I think it’s still likely men with other mental illness like sociopathy, autism, bipolar or depression are more likely who become mass shooters.
Opinion Owner+1 y@jahaims a man without a mental or psychological problem illness like autism, bipolar, schizophrenia or psychopathy still has testosterone in him but probably less likely to become a shooter if he has a healthy mind
