Have you ever met your former teacher years after graduating?

Last week my wife and I visited our former school, and we met our former Economics teacher.

Back then he was also the vice-principal and was a bit scary because he always wore a black suit and carried a notebook where he wrote about his students - note that influenced on the final evaluation.

Now he's the school principal and has aged quite a bit, lost all his hair and got gaunt but he's still the witty, stoic and wise man we knew back then. Fun fact, we asked about the infamous notebook and he whipped it out like he used to do back then.

One of the things I remember is that he would often quip at your expense without directly insulting you.
I had a particularly less-than-bright classmate, and when she said something very dumb he would say "Miss, your brain works in its own particular way, but today even more so."

After high school, my band teacher returned to school to get his Ed. D. in education administration and he attended the same school where I was enrolled as an undergraduate. I saw him fairly often and we played handball together fairly often.

Aww. I'm sorry to hear that he passed away. But I'm glad he had many people who remembered him and came to honor his life.

I did visit my primary school , I don’t recall the reason. I was only there for 2 years. I remember it being much smaller than it was when I was there as a kid.
now, I have my upper grade students come visit me in first grade class before they go off to middle school. Some I can’t recall as they have changed in 4 years.

I've quite often bumped into my science/chemistry lecturer when out shopping in the city.

I've met a few of my former teachers at a few of our high school reunions.

Yes, when I went back to college I needed to get my HS transcripts. I was 31 years old and out of high school for almost 15 years. Still My old English teacher recognized me. Then when I was working at a college my old homeroom teacher was teaching there. When I was in high school he looked like Gabe Kaplan with a big head of curly hair. We used to call him Mr. Kotter. later he was completely bald and I almost did not recognize him. When UI did I told him who I was and he remembered me and my twin brother.

I did and not going to lie it's depressing 😞. I met my 9 &10 grade teacher 10 years later and he was walking by the side walk to take a bus and that is when I gave him a ride on my car. And he thanked me. I am just grateful I had a car and may God give his family prosperity too. He

Other teachers have died by then. I went to my grade 1 school (same school till college or secondary if you are American) and when I saw my helper maid (we had those in kindergarten) she had grown old and I couldn't stop and tears came out of my eyes. It was in 2019. I used to be a big cry baby okay. And she remembered who I was after like 20 years. That was her last of years there.

My university had a far worst experience with politics, and backstabbing and teachers changing and no attachment as such. Even if I felt anything they did a great job turning the tables for me.

Yes, I have. I just saw one of my old teachers this summer. It was really nice!
