Nope. I know how to do all that stuff myself. I know how to dig through all public records and I can legally access all the same databases PIs draw from for $200 a year, plus data access fees a la carte (i. e. 30 cents per query) as a registered collections agency in my state if I really needed to. I know all sorts of social engineering tricks to get people to give me information I want as well. In general though I don't look into people like that unless they owe me money and I have to squeeze it out of them.
The only case I could see myself doing so would be if I suspected a partner of cheating.
However I take two attitudes. First if something seems odd it is because it is odd.
Second I am judge and jury. This is perhaps a chance I am mistaken but being odd is sufficient cause.

I use an investigator in my job on a weekly basis. I have never hired oe for a private or personal matter.
