Is the military doomed?

No. Most military jobs don't involve frontline combat roles. There's cooking, cleaning, driving etc. More females in the military free up more men for combat roles and let's be honest in the us there are few men or women fit for military service (obesity) & in Israel a small popular.

The US is about to pass a draft bill so nope not even slightly
@Drewtate women
@Drewtate The problem isn't that the men CAN'T do the infantry roles because the military says they have to be cooks and mechanics. They can't be infantry because they can't qualify. We can have ALL the women drafted it's not going to make the man any more fit to be in combat, he'll still be a fatass doing rear-d the whole time.
@BoopBoopBeep a draft is not standard military issue. they drop about a million different things to let people be drafted. shit like "oh im too fat" they'll go "oh that's fine here is your m16 and gear good luck" reality of a draft is the draftee's are just cannon fodder they ship em out to the frontlines while utilizing the active service members to actually win the war. sure some of the draftee's will live because they are fit and healthy and cool under pressure etc the rest are meant to die.
Right, but we don't need cannon fodder. We need good warfighters, and we need the staff/rear-d to support them. Without more of the former there's no use for the latter. This isn't vietnam, that's not how we fight wars. Those tactics aren't used. Having thirty more fatasses around me wouldn't have accomplished the mission any faster when I was getting any of my combat patches over the years.
I'm opposed to a draft, but if we're going to have one women should be included, but let's not fool ourselves that it's "freeing up" anybody for any front line roles because that's just not how slots are filled or requirements are set. Plenty of years in the past we didn't make recruitment goals. This isn't some new thing.
@BoopBoopBeep very true on all counts I think a lot of this really boils down to the rising tensions around the world. and the US naturally is trying to prepare for a war that they have effectively started. we fund israel, we fund ukraine. we fund thailand. based on what you said I gather you were in the service so I am sure you are as aware as I am that we are fighting several proxy wars and like me you also realize the most likely outcome of such actions.
3 tours to iraq, 5 to afghanistan. not a one of them would have been better off with more lazy shitebags around me.
Respectfully, we've been fighting proxy wars in multiple countries all my life. If your profile is correct then I was kicked out of a country before you were even let into grade school. I don't know why people are acting like it is suddenly some unique thing going on. The Activity is in over a hundred countries. They're not there to make waffle fries for orphans. Ukraine and Hamas don't mean shite just like all the others didn't mean shite.
that is nonsense
to jac , content draft, no it is not about to draft.
@BoopBoopBeep my profile is not accurate I did not realize age would be displayed when setting it up. so I clicked a random month day and year takes a bit to scroll for my year now. I was born in 84
Ah gotcha... well the rest holds true then. We've always had plenty of proxy wars. This isn't special. The ones we fought against the Soviet Union were far riskier. This isn't even something that rises to the level of interesting.
@BoopBoopBeep for sure. Really the main difference then vs now is putin is less mentally stable. We'll see what happens but it would not surprise me if we see a major conflict in the next 10 years.
@jacobjordan I'm only worried if Putin goes straight up senile and isn't removed. He's not there yet. He has to bluster to look hard. Look at his resume. Also look at the Chechen threat that'd explode if he was seen as weak. The russian economy sucks and pissing off the world of western goods resulting in an embargo would get him coup'ed faster than you can say Borris Yeltsin.
@BoopBoopBeep from what I have heard from old colleagues in Russia it seems they are looking for his replacement with extreme fervor. Not sure if the plan is to force him to step down or he is going to step down willingly but I guess we'll find out
@jacobjordan
I can't see him stepping down without more money moved to non-embargo/sanction capable locations. If his health declines maybe, but he's done to well for himself to walk away now.
I agree they're looking for who the next will be though.
@BoopBoopBeep yeah I can't seem him willingly leave a position he has controlled for so long. Even if his health declines further I can't see him stepping down without force applied from either other countries or other government officials in Russia. Should make an interesting next 5-10 years. Global tensions are climbing to levels we haven't seen in a long time. One of these times when cooler heads prevail or hotter heads start the ball rolling
@jacobjordan some good evenings drinking vodka by the fire with old friends. maybe they'll be more of them
@BoopBoopBeep maybe. I do have some 40 ish year old vodka courtesy of the wife's grandmother may have to join you
@jacobjordan
yeah. I think i'd like that. I know a couple great little bars by this place that'd let us open them
Those are Israeli soldiers, and Israel specifically uses a high amount of women in their military because Muslims believe that they go to hell if they are killed by a woman. So I actually think in their situation, it's a pretty good and funny idea
It's usually the role that most women fill in the military. Most women don't want to be frontline infantry. Out in the wet freezing cold or sun scorched deserts, jungles mostly on foot carry 80-120 pounds of military equipment. A chick I know from basic, she fell over on to her back in full combat gear and couldn't get up. Most common injury for infantry is back related or ankle related basically the gear is very heavy. Most jobs in the military are not frontline combat.
I'm not sure where the "killed by a woman you go to hell" thing started, but I've never spoken to a jihadi who believed that.
crap that was supposed to be @LazerBean
@Drewtate your "platoon" you don't make no sense lol dude we're you in basic or you weren't? Hiw would u have been able to see her? Lol unless su work TRaDOC? If u didn't work tradic then u woulda been in basic with her to see that happen. How were u as a "platoon" just at the same place and same time as soldiers in TRADOC? Dude just admit you were support and also along side basic and if not then your story is shaky af lol
Not at all. Think of it as if you were surrounded by the enemy with no hope of escape, and were about to be bumped off. At least you can get some sex in before the end.

No the military is lucky, what a waste of a beautiful women to just have them die in combat, it should've been the toxic feminists that like to run their yap 😂
I can't believe the real Joker from Persona 5 is sexist. I'm shaking and crying right now.
I heard Isreal is making huge gains in that small aprt of Gaza so I don't know
Naw, some of those women can be pretty tough. And hand-to-hand combat is a rarity these days.
Not just the military, but our country is doomed as a whole.
Who's that blue eyed bitch on the left side
It is huge
No it looks like it is not
