Do you follow Kentucky and Mississippi elections?

In Kentucky Democratic incumbant governor Andy Beshear is facing Republican candidate Daniel Cameron. Should Cameron win, he would become first Black Republican governor in the country.

Meanwhile in Mississippi, incumbant Republican governor Tate Reaves is running for reelection. Democratic Party recruited Brandon Presley (distant cousin of Elvis Presley) to be their candidate.

Republicans already flipped governorship in Louisiana this year, where incumbant Conservative Democrat John Bel Edwards was term limited.

Many people will say these elections are a sign of what will happen in the 2024 presidential election, but I do not ascribe that much significance to the results of state races.
