My husband pushed a woman. Is it a felony?

Ok so I told this neighbor woman and her daughter to put their dog on a leash. They were rude so I insulted back. Then they follwed me to my house trying to hit me. I just went home and when my husband opened the door, she tried to hot my husband and he pushed her. I felt that was hard but we were at home. Could he be in trouble?

Your husband acted in self-defense, as your neighbor's daughter invaded your house, moreover hitting him first, your husband will not be charged with anything, as he simply defended himself from her attack with the force necessary to stop the attack.

If they tried to accuse you, you can claim that they followed you, invaded your private property with the intention of violently attacking you for futile reasons.

No it's simple assault, 1 year in jail, assuming it's your first encounter with the law, plead it out to 3 months in jail suspended plus 2 years probation. Your life will be hell during that probation time but it avoids jail. And have a lawyer do it, it will cost around $3,000. A good lawyer might be able to get it removed from your record after about 5 years.
