My husband put a homeless woman on her ass yesterday?

I will try to be short but ask for info as needed. I'm sure I will miss details. So the town put up a homeless encampment across the street from us a month back and since then there have been one too many problems. Break ins, multiple men exposing themselves to children that walk by, following children/young women, fights, huffing out of random cans and stripping their clothes off, etc etc. The cops are always there but absolutely nothing is ever done about these men whipping their dicks out and showing kids or breaking in to buildings. There's ALWAYS an excuse of them being "mentally ill" and "not knowing any better". Which, a lot of them are. But that doesn't make it okay.

Anyways, my husband has been coming to the bus stop with me and the kids because of these issues and yesterday a woman with face tats and white foam crusting her mouth snuck over to where all the kids were (ten kids collectively) and grabbed my son (6) and tried pulling him away with her. I immediately knocked her arm away and gathered the rest of the kids in a circle and she came flying back and tried grabbing my neighbors 5yo daughter. Another woman was able to grab her and try wrestling her away but she wasn't budging. So my husband grabbed a hold of the woman's jacket and practically forced her to walk away from the kids and she just starts kicking him repeatedly so he pushed her away and she landed on her ass. The neighbors called the cops as we all say huddled around the kids. Cops came out, wouldn't take a single fucking statement and didn't care that this psycho just tried taking 2 of our children. Instead he started questioning why my husband felt it was okay to put his hands on a woman (she just tried stealing his kid and someone else's, like wtf?). So essentially absolutely nothing was done. They let the woman go, who just sat and smirked at us.

What can I do here? A petitions been filed and they won't honor it. The cops aren't doing anything at all. Advice?

It probably wouldn't do any good to contact any local news stations or politicians, most of them are the ones responsible for the mess. More than likely they'll make the story about you. Just like the store owner that sprayed a streety with water. He was portrayed as Hitler by the local media and politicians for harassing the poor innocent homeless. Turned out, the homeless guy had been harassing the store owner and customers for weeks! Even threw his own fecal matter at the store owner but thst didn't matter. I feel bad for you but honestly, in today's liberal take over of our cities, there really isn't much you can do.

See, that's what I'm afraid of. People switching around the story to make me and my husband look like the bad guys because he absolutely did put this woman on her ass. He did put his hands on her and that is the only thing most people will see. They won't care that this woman was trying to steal our kids and that he was being a protector and getting the woman away from the kids. It's so ridiculous at this point. We have been trying to leave this area for so long and can't even do that because of all the out of state investors coming in and scooping up all of our housing. I fucking hate it here man. I can't stand how our world is run.

I would almost guarantee that's what would happen. They'll even lie about what happend. Of course they'll retract their lies on page 28, between The Home And Garden section and car reviews but the damage is done. They no longer care about the truth or who the real victims are in the great "social experiment" they pretend to be successful at.

Horrible. Try calling the local TV station. Maybe the mayor or some politician. Other than that, I would move away from that area if possible.

We have been searching endlessly for a way out of here. Unfortunately our housing market in the area is garbage and we aren't having much luck. I've never reached out to a news station. Can you just do it via social media or is there a process involved?

Yeah, I figured you would have tried moving if possible. I would try calling the news department and tell them that you have a story. Social media might work if you can find someone that will pick your story up and get some attention with it. Hopefully they will send a news crew down there with you to film what is going on.

Oh, I used to live in new Hampshire. Maine used to be really nice. Is there any republican politicians in your town that you can get a hold of?

Unfortunately not. All of our politicians are currently Democrat.

What town is this? Portland? Maine used to have a good governor but I just looked it up and she is a democrat now. I doubt she would help

I'm about an hour from Portland. And yeah Janet Mills doesn't do much of anything outside of help the Somalian Refugees. She promises a lot but never follows through.

Done that as well, lol. They won't even take statements. I don't know what kind of world we are living in but I hate it.

That's funny, we have actually been discussing moving to Florida for a good few months now lol

Yeah, I got sick of the new Hampshire weather. The weather is way better here. There are still homeless and crime to deal with but at least the police know who to arrest. Although, it is expensive to live here. Luckily, I moved here and brought a house when it was cheap.

Yeah we have been going over the expenses and stuff for a bit over a month. See currently my husband and I own a car detailing business and if we were to move, we would want to continue to do the same thing in Florida. But the expenses and requirements out there versus Maine is much, much different. Not to mention the food cost is a lot more expensive as well. We had gone to Florida for 2 weeks last year and spent easily doubled in food than we do in Maine.

A car detailing business should do awesome here. I live in Sarasota and I have never seen so many expensive cars. My neighbor has two corvettes and built a lift in his garage so he can fit them on top of each other. There is a Lamborghini dealership. They have a Ferrari festival once a year. Not to mention all the guys with pick-up trucks that they love to get detailed once a week. If you find a good accountant, he write you up at a loss and then you can get food stamps. I'm not sure if there are any affordable places in Florida now. I know the average rent is $2,000 around my area. Feel free to message me also.

We did find a few places for around $2200 in Tallahassee and the surrounding areas but I've noticed that the further you get in to Florida, the more expensive it becomes. I mean obviously the cheapest places are around Jacksonville but I'm all set moving to that area with children, lol

Yeah, my oldest is going to college in Jacksonville in August. They don't have housing on campus so she is looking at apartments and she has sticker shock. Looks about $1500 for just a studio there. Good luck. I moved my children when they were young so they wouldn't be upset when we moved.

We technically live in a 3rd party state and are supposedly allowed to use any force necessary to protect a third party but whenever you do defend yourself or someone else, it always comes back on you. It's unjust. We have been trying to leave for awhile.

Been trying to move for awhile unfortunately. We live in a tourist state and whenever a house goes on the market, an out of state investor scoops it up for twice the asking price and then rents it at 3x market value. We have been searching for over a year. We went to close on a house 4 months back and right before signing it was sold off to a developer.
