I think if anything it's going to get worse. If Trump gets sent to prison then I think extremism and unrest is very likely. If Trump doesn't win the next presidential election, which I think is very likely it's going to result in multiple riots this time. If Trump gets convicted of one or more crimes and sent to prison and also is elected president in the next election. I don't know what's going to happen but I'm going to bed. It's not going to be good.

I don't think extremism ever gets better or worse but rather more people get pushed out of the middle, even if only slightly, by right wing misinformation. This enables the extremism that was already there, but it doesn't increase its numbers. The fact that Trump is openly plotting political violence and he's still not only the frontrunner but also is polling about the same as. Biden, who is possibly in the the top three presidents in terms of accomplishments, tells me no right leaning person is in the middle anymore. If they can't at the very least commit to turning against any of their own who endorses political violence, even if it's Trump, they are lost.
