When people say that something is "a social construct," they usually imply that the meaning is so obvious, that it doesn't need any explanation, and whatever they have identified as a social construct should be rejected because, after all. . . it's a social construct. It needs no explanation!

When I hear people say that, I assume that they are just calling the idea "bullshit" but they are vacuous minions who want to give the appearance of sophistication and analysis which is beyond reproach.

It's just another buzzword for the left. And you KNOW how they love buzz words!
