We should celebrate diversity and respect the journey that each individual takes in acquiring knowledge. Your condescending attitude towards this woman who may have had limited access to formal education, different cultural upbringing or even dyslexia is truly disturbing. Shame on you for harboring such thoughts that clearly do not align with the values of open-mindedness and inclusivity promoted by this site. The fact that she now knows that Georgia is indeed a country speaks more about the power of informative conversations rather than the disparagement that you appear to enjoy when someone possesses less info than you on a topic. We should celebrate learning opportunities like the one she just had rather than tearing her down for allegedly being inferior due to initially having less knowledge on it. We are better than pettiness over a tiny detail. We should celebrate that openness in the process of learning instead of attempting to pounce on the insecurities many might face regarding perceived weaknesses arising out of admitting ignorance. How dare you insult anyone for not knowing something as trivial as whether Georgia is a country or not? This may come as a shock to you, but the overwhelming majority of Americans absolutely suck at geography and most can't find any foreign countries other than Mexico and Canada on a map. It is not a subject that gets much emphasis on schools, and if a country has had no impact whatsoever on US history, it most likely never gets mentioned. The only reason Georgia would ever be brought to the attention of even a small fraction of Americans is if they're invaded, such as they were in 2008. Even then, that lasted less than a week and was almost immediately forgotten about, and since that would've been during an election cycle, the media was more concerned with kissing Obama's ass than geopolitics at the time.

On the list of top 10 things I want in a woman, geography is not even on it. Not the top 25, 50, or even 100. I don’t really even care if she can name the continents or even capitols of every state. It’s not even something I imagine coming up in a relationship to me.

Probably not. Geography, in my experience isn't something a lot of girls have much interest in. The former Soviet Republics aren't names everyone has kept up with.
