Why are poor people treated so poorly?

In the USA they are treated poorly because North Americans like to blame everything on an individual. It's an individualistic culture, so if you failed its your fault alone and no one else's.

In other countries like Finland they make everyone pay the same amount of taxes rich or poor. They don't care if you're rich or poor they treat you all the same. Everyone gets the same benefits and disadvantages. It's not communism because the Nordic countries have a great standard of living.

a lot of Americans also use the word socialism and communism synonymously which doesn't make any sense. They believe people want socialism because they are lazy and don't want to work hard. When America sees countries with socialism that work they try demonize that country and claim it won't ever work in USA and it's only for lazy people.

Because they are the byproduct of rich people and if they aren't treated badly then rich people would risk feeling bad about all they have stolen.
