No, inflation was still contained; however, the Americans are emerging from forty years of price stability. In 1980/81, inflation was high; the only peak was in 1990 with 6.1%, a rate not dissimilar to that of 2021 by 7.1%.
It was not inflation that caused the crisis; in 1929, inflation was very low; however, in the following years, there was a very strong and prolonged deflation: -6.4% in 1930, -9.3% in 1931, and -10.3% in 1932.

has been issues with inflation before , it has been around before , but for most younger people we wouldn't of been around when it occured decades ago
