in 1941, on this day in history dec. 7 japan sent hundreds of warplanes to bomb hawaii. ordered by their emperor to whom they submitted due to religion including the religious idea of kamakaze that truly was a legend and also truly obeyed as part of the religion to kill americans.

They were following the Art of War. Strike hard, strike fast, strike swiftly.

Then the US unleashed the power of the Rising Sun upon Hiroshima and Nagasaki under the same principles. Sun sets in the West.

I believe the Japanese were retaliating against sanctions, embargoes, and the US supplying the allies. “War is ‘good’ for business”

Both the Japanese and the Germans believed in the ideology of a master race.

There’s a flaw in their logic. If you execute inferior races, there can’t be a superior one. Then there was the end game. If the Allies were vanquished, who would have been the master race amongst the Axis powers?

That’s the problem in general with conquest. It leads to a last man standing.

But people need to understand something about the US, just because genocide is unethical, doesn’t mean everyone has to get along with everyone. US law says tolerate one another as specified in the code, that doesn’t mean everyone has to approve of everyone. Nor does it mean people can’t be better than others.

retaliating? japan "threw the first punch" u. s. was not violent only the jap attack was the start of violence. that violence must be restrained.

It escalated nastily, and it was heavily based on race. I think this explains it:

This is a NASTY subject. The solution we implemented was tear down fences at the national level and instead let individual citizens build their own if they so choose.

Our border policies now are meant to preserve the American way of life. Whether it's been enforced correctly is a matter of debate.

I don't refer to some ''film'', but rather to the annexation in (I looked that date up) 1898.

Interestingly, my original Hanseatic and independent city (Bremen) had been joined to Germany in 1871, driven by the interests of Prussia.
This ''unification'' was rewarded by being heavily bombed in WW II...

I really enjoy watching the movie 🍿 "Pearl Harbor". I've watched it several times. There is another old war movie about what happened at Pearl Harbor. From the movies I saw, the Japanese bomed Pearl Harbor because America withheld fuel from them. So, America provoked them so they retaliated back by bombing Pearl Garbor. I didn't hear anything about religion in any of them.
I do feel sad today because of what happened. It was really tragical. ☮️

Doesn't really matter to be honest. Lots of attacks happened during WW2. We were at war for six years, we don't mark every major event that occured.

The war had already started two years before, and in comparison an insignificant number died. You Americans like to be overdramatic.
