You know your question should be why isn't the right and the left wing working together for the betterment of this country and us instead of dividing it as they have and everybody is falling for it. You need to stop and really take stock that the government works for us. Not for themselves or we don't work for them. They work for us. We voted them in allegedly and we can vote their ass out but this congressman senators they act like royalty like we're supposed to bow down to them because they're serving no and this division this fighting between Democrats. Republicans they're both there to work for the betterment of this country and for us not this silliness that's going on now and we need to stop being a party to that and hold them accountable. We need to come together as one country. Right now we're just fragmented people come over here. They don't assimilate in this country and that's not the way it's supposed to be far as I'm concerned there isn't no little China town. There's no little Saigon a little Vietnam. There's Los Angeles, Orange county and Americans. If you come here to be a citizen, you're an American. I'm just saying we need to stop catering to please everybody because all it's doing is creating chaos in this country divide in us and it's we have to stop it cuz people are so afraid of each other right now. You know I went with a friend of mines at work for Amazon. He delivers and people don't even open your door to receive their package. They wait till he set it down, getting his truck and leave then it open up their door. That's where we're at today as a society where at each other's throats over Democrat Republican and it needs to stop because it's only one. Both of them need to grow up and work together. As I said for the betterment of this country, not for their own personal gains but nobody's discussing this. Everybody just going along with our republic and I'm a Democrat and they're at each other's throats. Stop it okay? You're all Americans man and hold these politicians accountable. They're dividing in this country that don't mean we have to follow suit. We have to stand together as one

I would argue that, overall, that is not true.

I'm sure you can find an example here or there in a micro case but overall, in the macro, more leftists want to crush debate and just shame, cancel and silence anyone opposing them. More of your conservative speakers regularly debate: Dinesh D'Souza, Ben Shapiro, Dennis Prager, Jordan Peterson, Dave Rubin, Pearl Davis, Candice Owens, John Stossel, Allen West, Larry Elder, Charlie Kirk.

Often, on a college campus, for example. Organizations and students will often converge on this speeches, debates, lectures to shout them down or gather in mobs outside events to prevent people from going in, stand up shouting in the middle of discussions with slogans and chants.

Debate is often not the rule on the left, it is to just vilify a challenger and not to engage in the merits of the cause. The policies they propose, the ideals, the standards... etc. they just label racist, homophobe, sexist, nazi, fascist... etc. and they want you to be silenced. They don't try and show their tenants are better and would be better for society or the nation they just want you silenced.

Take the border for example. A perfectly logical and normal stance is to want the southern border secured and to stop the flow of foreigners flowing into the country. Those that have overstayed their visa's or came in with no permission, no visa, they are not citizens then they should be deported. Numbers of immigrants allowed to be at low, set number and the U. S. decides if you can come here or not.

Many on the left just scream racism. Our nation is obligated to just let anyone in at any time, it is racist to secure the border, a wall is racist, a river barrier is racist, saying no to hoards of peoples coming is racist. We have no expectation or right to secure the border of our nation or any sovereignty and we must let in as many as come. To challenge that that is not good for our nation and hurts the citizens... racist, shut up you xenophobe.

I'm sure you can find micro examples but I dispute that true in the macro.

Refusal to debate doesn't mean the right is "scared." That is just your silly spin. Gov. DeSantis debated Gov. Newsom recently, in case you don't follow the news.

Some on the right aren't interested in debating because leftists don't stick to the facts. They invent facts and they invent issues. What is accomplished by someone who doesn't recognize reality?

Ideologues do this all the time. If you disagree with a liberal ideologue on an issue, they call you a right-winger. If you disagree with a conservative ideologue on an issue, they call you a libtard.
That's because those people are sheep who don't think for themselves and only believe, without evidence, and then parrot what the shills on TV tell them.
They can't imagine anyone knowing something that they don't know, doing independent research, and forming unbiased opinions based on available information. They rely on what they perceive as consensus.
And such ideologues will never change or modify their beliefs because they refuse to consider any information that conflicts with their beliefs. Instead, they use terms like "fake news" or "conspiracy theory" or resort to calling people names.

I watched that video to see how it related to the right wing being afraid of debating the left. It was not only a waste of time. It caused the death of brain cells.
There was nothing edifying at all. Those people weren't sharing information. All they were doing was arguing and trying to prove that their interlocutors were stupid.

im to the point that im sick of "debate" in general... very ineffective form of communication, regardless of their selected mind control. the general method is garbage...

I want... ugh... is there a point to listing what I want...

The recent desantis/newsome "debate" addressed issues like child sex altering surgery. that was worthy... and clear differentiator. some are not. when not... provide some detail behind the opinion, some things are not so simple.

israel /palestine is a big juicy mess that if you bite into it you'd probably die no matter what side you take if you used your brain. "Free speech" vs hate speech another. Anyone want to wipe out the "white race"... oh that ain't hate speech, but lets exterminate the jews is.

ah humans... the knowledge of good and evil. didn't know you are evil did you? hiding behind a blue anon sticker are ya? come out come out from wherever you are...

What I'd like to see is more people saying... "ya know, you made a good point...". that be so much better... but as it is... it's pure division and it's not easy to be vulnerable... as it looks weak and introduces change, that we often don't want. So people put up barriers...

I can already tell by the thumbnail that this is a very disingenuous question.

Sam Seder is the only person on the left that nobody wants to debate with and if you have seen him "debate" you know why.

He and his co-hosts just shout down, insult and play stupid manipulation games with his opponents and nothing ever gets done.

I haven't seen Crowder do that, Tim Pool doesn't do that (and he even had Vaush and Matt Binder on his show), most of the other people I listen to would love to debate those who don't share their views but they say none of them would take them up on it, just people who agree with them.

Speaking of Pool, I even remember seeing his cohost complain that she has come to his studio (I guess he invited her as a guest to his podcast) and then left shortly after arriving because she claimed he was hitting on her. I was already skeptical because Pool has a girlfriend but he said in a video the day after that happened that all he did was invite her to the break room to have sushi with his employees because it happened to be sushi day at the office.

So from what I have seen of Seder, the dude and his co-hosts are scumbags.

My honest opinion is that’s the opposite. I’ve never heard of conservatives demanding a campus block a guest speaker for a debate or appearance, but the left does it all the time.
I’ve never seen the right refuse to debate issues but I’ve seen the left shout them down and scream away any actual conversation.

The liberals in my family seem to bring up Trump as a reply to almost every issue. They see racism under every rock and patriarchy hiding in every shadow. It’s like they live in some kind of marvel universe where they are villains conspiring everywhere.
