It really depends on what the conversation is and with who. If its a gag user who i have interacted with regularly and for a long time, i would take it seriously if its something i ask or if they ask me something. Other gag users, nope.

It depends on the question really.

I don't take much of some people seriously because they post mainly satirical questions - at least, I hope they're satire 😳

Other people ask serious topics and get more weighty answers.

I'm mostly more relaxed here than if we went out for a coffee in the real world simply because there's a level of anonymity here. In the time I've been here I've told two people my real name and email address. On serious topics - especially with my Faith - I'm as candid as possible and I hope people respond in kind and accept that I'm not trying to offend, even if them being offended is the outcome.

I've said recently if someone doesn't like my answers, buy a helmet. This world is way too thin skinned now compared to 30 years ago when I was a kid. I can't deal with constantly worrying I might offend someone.

John Wayne said in an interview in about 1975 that he was only responsible for what he said, he was not responsible for what someone else understood. I like that attitude. There's honesty in it you don't get these days.

Nope I do not care. I do not expect people to care about what I say, and therefore I do not care about what they say to me.

Actually, I find it very entertaining to watch these people get so worked up over something that nobody in their right mind should care about. Like disagree with me, I have no problems with that... but why are you getting so excited over something so silly.

It usually means, I trigger one their insecurities and instead of addressing that with themselves they go all attack mode on me. But it passes the time at work.

I have to step back and evaluate the scenario before I respond. Because I can be pretty passionate about some of the beliefs I have that gets me in trouble or look like an idiot if I jump the gun.
for example: on Reddit a girl was describing how she cheats on her fb and just degrading him talking about he’s got a small D and these other guys are are better at sex blah blah. Well i personally despise cheaters. Because I’ve been cheated on many times. As I’m reading I can feel my blood boiling and couldn’t take it any longer. I unleashed some pretty well thought out insults with a barrage of angry words that pounded her from every angle like carpet bombing there was no wavy she’d even try to defend herself.
however I soon found out that her stories were just that, just stories meant to be hot role play type scenarios from all the readers that enjoy her writings. Lol whoops, open mouth insert foot.

when they're joking or being more casual, silly funny... fun... I do take it as that as well

and the same with everything else, I do take as it is and I differentiate between things, and people too, when needed, of course
