I don't, I just use Internet as entertainment.

It honestly depends! If it’s someone I don’t know and have never, or rarely ever spoke with before, then no! But if it’s someone with whom I interact a lot (as in what just happened an hour ago) then yeah it bothers me. It’s not like I’m emotionally distraught or anything, but it does upset me how someone who has been really nice to me for months or years, can suddenly become a complete a-hole the second I disagree with their thesis, or their preconceived notions of how something is, or how they think it should be!
In my experience it’s usually whenever a gendered question comes along. Like “why do women…” or “Why do men…” or even “why is the word virgin a compliment to women but an insult to men”, and I write how, that kind of viewpoint is not as bad these days as it was in past generations, and include sources to studies. That’s when I start getting the abusive comments from the people who disagree! I have to laugh when I’m talking about how it is with Gen-Z, and they are in their forties, but oh well. If people cannot handle their preconceived beliefs being challenged, by scientific & academic studies that’s not really my problem. yeah It bothers me, but I don’t let it affect my day.
Hope this helps.
Sincerely, Laura 🤗 🥰00 Reply

I do care if it is a direct insult from a person who is just a mean person.
But usually I get positive feedback on this website.
Since I have been on here for over 3 years now, I can honestly say that when the chips are down for me and I bring it to this forum, by their opinions people are more than willing to help me and watch my back on here.
I feel like I have made some really good friends on here.
It is my go to place for just about anything.
Thanking all of you and you know who you are! Some really great people here! 💕01 Reply

People that I don’t know that don’t know me? Depends , generally I try to consider most of what is said to me or my virtual persona’s on the internet , how much though depends on what degree I consider that they have thought about what they have said ! or put out there for others to read. I find that generally speaking , people loose their filter and sometimes forget to engage their brain on the internet and that i dismiss a lot of what’s said quickly because of that. People are often also quick to judge , hiding behind their anonymity , saying things in provocation of conflict.
There are some really considered views and opinions though. People that have insight and experience that speaks to me , that are engaging and interesting , wise and well-read.
Every now and again I find those people , so yeah it’s worth paying some attention and to dig a little and not just dismiss.05 Reply- 11 mo
Id never know initially , but just like gag represents reading something on the internet I’m not going to immediately dismiss , I’m going to consider , reason and maybe even discuss. And it’s by doing that you find understanding and perhaps even get another insight or at least outlook. Anyone can copy and paste on the internet , through in a few buzz words or even use A. I to plagiarize, but challenge them to explain lets you know immediately. Not sure if I’m just rambling now or making sense? Does that help you understand where I’m at?

To me it’s interesting for this question. Most people that replied have in my opinion completely misunderstood the question.

Understanding it as the trolls who seek conflict for the sake of it of the keyboard warriors taking out their anger at their inadequacies. Me … I thought about it all , good and bad and attempted to take account !

It’s entertaining for me too and people think that getting angry and name calling….. many times they’re projecting who they are. A lot of times the whole reason these people are mad in the first place is because you got something right.
Unfortunately most the assumptions they make about me simply aren’t true. It’s pathetic and sad but at the same time it can be entertaining. Some people deserve it.00 Reply

Oh, I totally get that! 🌟 The internet can be such a wild place, and it's wise not to let random comments affect you. Personally, I dive into the internet primarily for inspiration and to share my love for movies, art, and travel. I remember once, after sharing my experience at the Cannes Film Festival, I received both praise and hate. The key is to filter out the noise and focus on the positive vibes and the joy of the content itself. It's all about using the internet to enhance your passions and connecting with like-minded people. Keep enjoying and stay cool! 😊🎨🖥️

Last year I was tormented so severely on the AVEN forums that I cut loose and tore up the “admods” and certain members with words that I never thought I would use on anyone. They had caused me extreme stress with their accusations once before but I was still dumb enough to give it a second chance. Even though I had a different username, some young skank whom I had friction with before recognized me and started started stalking my profile along with her freak moderator boyfriend. Damned shemale admin that spends the most time there wouldn’t give me a straight answer about anything, and I ended up banned. Since I’m ignored most of the time, the biggest exception being when someone decides to take a bite out of me, then yeah, it hurts.
Incidentally that forum is a hopeless mess. They just cater to their own inner circle. Even the name no longer makes sense because they mostly cater to trannies now. Misspell one of their precious pronouns and one could end up in hot water. One of the higher-ups is the closest thing I’ve seen to AI in a self-mutilated biological being; extremely cold and calculating, not to mention ugly as sin like most trannies.

In regards to the negative half of the internet, I'm of the mind, hurt people, hurt people. They hop on and try their best to make people feel less than because they are mad or sad about their own lives. I have a rule about whatever responses I'm given....we can talk, we can laugh, we can argue, we can scream about a topic, but the minute it turns into insults, -isms, -phobias, accusations, rude assumptions, or straight trolling/spamming, I'm out. Life is WAY too short to deal with people who suck the air out of your time. Treat people the way you want to be treated, period.
00 Reply No not really I mean if it's something negative.. I just smile and think to myself. You don't even know me but I haven't really got anything negative for a long long time I've always had a good time on the internet and have meant some really nice people

I do care about what my boss or what my clients/customers say about me, my company or my job or job role :( sad face - Michael Scott the fictional manager feels like every dream boss on earth as much as "why can't everyone be as happy as Michel Scott, whether employee, customer, or ordinary person on the outside, why can't everyone be - happy"

No, I'll never meet any person irl. They know nothing about why I am or who I am, and the same goes for me to them. Unless they really make me feel good about myself, that's really sweet of them.

If the comments are coming from people I have never actually met, they're of little value to me.
However, some particularly kind words and interesting conversations do matter.

nope. i don't care in real life either. i think it's best to have very few people in your life who's opinion you do actually give a crap about. those that matter to you personally and that want your best. the rest can kiss your ass

Not in the slightest. Sometimes I get some good hints on how to do things, but anything someone says about me or my personality... meh.

Only whether they're right or wrong.
Spreading misinformation or fostering impracticality is unacceptable.10 ReplyNo not on the Internet, not in person, if they are already wired the way they are people will go into a delusional state of mind no matter how much proof or facts you throw into their face.
