Why can't they publish wanted people's skin color's?

I don't understand this... when a news outlet reports on a crime and they post the description of the people they list everything they are wearing and all but their skin color! Every time! Like it would help if they were black, Hispanics or white. But in all respect they are usually black people 90 % of the time and when I view the video feed of the crime it's no surprise they are black people so what's the deal why can't these news outlets just post their skin color? It would help the public a lot if they knew... Yet I wonder why are the majority of crimes on the news 90% of the time comited by black people?

Dude, I get where you're coming from, but there's complex issues around skin color and crime reporting. Like yeah, skin color helps ID someone obviously. But some feel singling out race could promote harmful stereotypes.

There's also legal and ethical concerns, since news orgs don't want accusations of racism. And describing skin color doesn't always line up exactly with how someone identifies. It's a sensitive issue with no perfect answers.

Personally I think news should focus on facts and justice, not speculation that risks fueling tensions. If they left out race details altogether, it might provide the clarity you're looking for without stirring up controversy, ya know? But it's complex with good arguments on multiple sides for sure.
