Do you like your generation?

Boomers, Xers, Millenials, Z etc. I’m gen z. I’m okay with my generation but we do have some major faults and in my opinion a very unique experience. I think there are things that have impacted us that we can never undo. How about you?

I’m also gen-z, I see no difference with any of the generations.(older generations just don’t hide themselves) There’s good and bad people. Majority are mentally ill in one way or another. I don’t hang out with anyone but the people, most vocal tend to make me think that the majority are not in the middle of anything and won’t compromise. And that they like the high of being argumentative.(subconsciously). I’m a bit pessimistic and this is just my opinion from my point of view. (.-. )

Actually from what a university says in Ohio I think, we are actually considered zillenials, it's a small generation between millenials and gen z, they said that they made it cause people our age aren't completely genz because we believe some things about genz but not most things and we have things that we relate with millenials so we are now zillenials not Gen z 🤷🏽‍♂️

likeable people... and I don't look at them as clichés nor stereotypes... I see them for who they truly are as individuals and appreciate them for that

As someone non-binary and with Asperger's, I have been fighting with people over these issues all my life (but didn't have a name for them until ~20 years ago). I am glad the things I have been saying/arguing/fighting for are finally bearing fruit in awareness, sensitivity, and civil rights.

HOWEVER, the internet has changed how we communicate.

I grew up on "social media" before the WWW on local bulletin board systems. We all were able to ask awkward/anonymous questions and chat like this (a lot less trolling and predators, ironically), but the difference is we'd also get together regularly in person (because everything was within local calling distance). So, that was awkward, but you also managed to have friends of all ages, genders, backgrounds, experiences, and it was an actual community... and while you could be pretty open with your questions, there was still the potential embarrassment of meeting these people face-to-face, so you still were at least (mostly) polite about it, because there was still a culture of accountability.

Here, everyone sends their opinions, hate, negative and toxic vibes into the ether and have no (real) accountability for their bullying and insecurities.

It felt like ideas were being shared, and we were really headed towards a sort of utopia there for a nano-second, and then facebook changed everything. Now everything is a porn-ad trying to get you to buy something or someone.

You're 64. You're a boomer (born between 1946 and 1964). Gen X is 1965 to 1982.

@Siri137 Most of boomers were born like 10 years before me. I don't share anything in common with them. Boomers had it pretty easy, Gen-X had to struggle like I did.
