I've seen those cockpits. Gigantically complicated, takes a lot of concentration and knowledge, and practice, practice, practice. That's why those folk are paid so much.

Look at how colleges these days are openly restricting speech that doesn't align with a leftist agenda. They are not restricting "hate speech", they are restricting speech they hate. I have never seen academia so brazen about pushing an agenda as it is now.

@oddbeme. "Devalues education"... absolutely not. Education takes many forms. Your side devalues practical education such as the trades, apprenticeships, and less formalized "education". More college does not make one more "educated", it simply makes them more "credentialed". I have met many, many, people who supposedly had Master's degrees but could not formulate a basic email with proper grammar and structure. This makes me wonder, WTF were they doing in school for so long if the basics weren't internalized?

I mean, intellect is subjective. Some people think that they are smart, but others may not see them as very smart, some smart people may not think that they are at all. Also, I know part of being smart is having intellectual curiosity, and I know some people who aren't smart in their mind, want to become smart, and some people who already consider themselves smart, want to become even smarter.

Firstly, you’re absolutely right. Wasn’t it neitze or some philosopher, “I know that I know nothing.” That basically means the more you know the more you don’t know. Which is absolutely true. And then we can go into the debate of whoever photographic memories means your smart. Some scientists say the opposite.

But really, I’m talking basics. There are “educated” well read, knowledgeable people and then there aren’t. We have met both.
