i think it depends on what you're making fun of - i think it's pretty poor taste to ridicule a disability, illness or death in anyone, but i also know that celebrities and the powerful are just so out of it that it's easy to punch up at them no matter what they do, i think it's just the problems that they're faced with (that they show at least) seem pretty trivial compared to people struggling with bills or employment - but again, plenty of people ridicule the poor as well as the rich
