"The scientific revolution era from Edison to Einstein shifted the explanation from “God wills that the rich should rule” to “rich people have superior genes and should therefore be in charge of everything.” Herbert Spenser, who coined the phrase “survival of the fittest” in the late 19th century, explicitly argued against any laws or social reforms that would help the poor, as this would interfere with the “natural” process of eliminating the “unfit.” Today’s GOP continues to embrace this worldview."

No, it's stupid. It's survivorship bias.
For every one who had a great idea that was wildly successful, a million weren't because they didn't have the resources to exploit it, or they were a year or two ahead of their time, or their idea was stolen or bought for a pittance by someone with more money.
You didn't really understand the point of this, did you?
You think rich people are rich because they have "superior genes" and not just being born into wealth, taught how to scam people, getting lucky, or all three?
Of course they don't have Superior genes. That's not the point. The point is that a lot of them think that they do. I think that's mostly because they're guilty about a lot of the things they've done to accumulate all that money or they feel guilty about inheriting all that money and not working for it.
I don't think most of them feel guilty about it at all, they think they deserve it. "Born on third base", and all that. They also think that because they (or their parents) had one success, they'll be successful in everything.
I think that unconscious guilt drives a lot of their behavior, but probably not all of it. Again. I'm saying unconscious so that they are unaware of it.
Sounds like an excuse to oppress
Very good. That is exactly what it is.
D**N SKIPPY!!!(The WHITE rich, of course.)
