Obviously, they don't stand a chance. The money is drying up. Are they staying in because they think Trump will appointment them to roles in a new administration?

Oh they will struggle for a while longer. The GOP are not entirely stupid, they recognize the danger that Trump poses to the party and that there is a very real risk that Trump will be the death of the party as a whole. The fact that the GOP is full of... less than intelligent people and spineless boot-lickers means that they will have to bend the knee at some point but not for a while yet.
