I just want to see America compromise again. Once upon a time, not so long ago, nobody really cared if your were Republican or Democrat and if the conversation came up... which it rarely did, you were only mildly annoyed and stayed friends to party another day. Biden didn't help to bring the country back together and neither did Trump. We need a president who isn't right or left, somebody who finds solutions that maybe not everyone will agree with, but everyone feels like they got something out of it.
For example: Abortion. Instead of all in or nothing at all, how about meeting in the middle? Medical reason, rape, severe deformity, abortion okay. Have a one night stand and got knocked up? Well, unless it is the morning after pill, it's a no go.
Police Shootings of blacks: Was he unarmed? Was he not a threat? Don't shoot, if you do, have a nice life behind bars. Was he attacking you? Did he brandish a firearm with intent to use it? Open fire.
Gay Rights: That can be a bit more complicated... but I am sure there are compromises there to be had as well if people on both sides kept an open mind.
That is what we need, a president who finds solutions, brings the country back together and treats everyone the same.

I am a republican and want Trump to go away like most presidents do after they finish their term. He is hurting great republican candidates with endorsements towards bad ones, teasing about running again, and more. Let's get a new republican in office. Someone like Ron DeSantis or Glenn Youngkin. I think those two have the best shot.
DeSantis actually didn't just talk the talk like Trump, he actually walks the walk. Trump allowed the democrats to set America on fire and let all of the criminals run free without pressing charges for months, he didn't do a thing. Trump also didn't protect children in K-12 schools from Democrat sexual subversion, whereas DeSantis has actually stood up.

The thing is I’m not sure he’s personally ready for so much power and position. I do not think he was originally looking for that. Some people go into politics for the sake of power and position. I don't think Trump wins the primary, he's more likely to be in jail. The most likely Republican candidate for now is Ronald DeSantis. Unlike Trump, he is expendable throughout the party and manages to win the sympathies of both the old GOP and the new GOP. Unlike Trump, he has no picks in the closet and has a respectable CV.
I'm not a republican, but I remember something that someone said that really resonated with me during his second impeachment. Someone said "I'm not afraid of Trump running again and winning, I'm afraid of him losing again." To me that encapsulated the entire message the senate hearing is trying to show. The problem with him running again is not that he might win, it's that he might lose.
