Joking aside, the world now is different. You're not actually buying "German" as most Volkswagen and BMW's are actually made outside Germany. Even the brands are mostly Saudi and American owned, rather than German owned.

But it's like that for most brands. They aren't actually from their original country, rather, they are now multinational corporations.
