They're not trying to solve anything. If they just took the time to plant 1 tree a day they'd eliminate the entire carbon foot print of 2 people every year they put their mind to it. You can buy bulk tree saplings for less than $0.99 a tree and put them in the ground at in about 10 seconds if you can wiggle a shovel back and forth. The same lunatics probably blow $5 on a coffee every morning. They could skip one coffee a week and buy trees and spend about a minute a week and take out 2 people's carbon foot print completely out. But they'd rather epoxy themselves to a road to get likes on social media.
