White Teacher Files 'Anti-White Racism' Complaint Against NY School Over Nooses

Ohhh brother. A white woman who works as a teacher in Long Island, New York, filed a complaint against her school district alleging that she was subject to “anti-white racism.” Why? She said she was blamed for a poster depicting nooses.

Back in 2019, the Roosevelt Union Free School District entered the spotlight after a local pastor lit them up on Facebook over an offensive back-to-school image. Pastor Arthur Mackey Jr. claimed he received a cropped image of a bulletin board display showing a picture of two nooses with pink stickers sloppily placed about with a label reading “back to school necklaces,” just above.

Her complaint alleges that after the district was informed of the display - that was in another teacher’s classroom—they didn’t even instruct the teacher to remove it nor did they remove it themselves. Instead, the complaint says Jones Doering removed it herself and locked it in her cabinet.

Here's how I understand the teacher's rationale:

She claims that after the noose display was reported in another teacher's classroom, the school district blamed her for it even though she wasn't responsible. She says they falsely accused her publicly and suspended her without cause.

Her argument is that she was targeted and faced backlash/accusations specifically because she is white. And that no other black teachers faced similar false accusations or punishment when they were not actually at fault.

She claims the school district and administrators essentially scapegoated her due to her race, trying to cover themselves by blaming a white teacher when the real issue was brought to light by the community.

Whether her claims have legal merit, I can't say for sure. But that seems to be the crux of why she feels she experienced "anti-white racism" - by being singled out and facing consequences when she alleges the accusations against her were fabricated and had nothing to do with the actual incident.
