Adam is annoying and I don't like him very much but everything in that video about the moon landing is true.

The lighting would have been basically impossible to get. The parallel lines is one thing but the edges of the shadows are razor sharp. And no, a lens can't really do that.

Unless they built a light bulb the size of a large barn, those shadows. Even then it would be a huge MAYBE. For reasons like the way the light bounces off the ground, and the way it darkens across distance.

The inverse square law says that any distance light travels, it's square is how much it's brightness drops. So even a light of that size would have to be really bright and really far away.

The earliest we could have produced an image like that would have been in the late 90's and even the, it probably would have been relatively easy to spot for a modern vfx artist since grain matching technology wasn't so great back then.

The thing is, the people who don't believe it are just going to say "these people are in on it so they're making up science". Most of us don't care because we already understand reality and the others won't find this compelling. That's why we still have flat earthers. As such, i wonder who the target audience is, other than those of us who want to laugh at the conspiracy theorists, but really most of us don't see them as relevant enough to laugh at.

No man, you can talk a conspiracy theorist out of it. I used to believe in the 9/11 conspiracy theory until I looked into it more and then I realized yeah, it was fucking Middle Eastern terrorists.

The entire reason to believe a conspiracy is that the person telling you the official story is compromised and you have some reasonable reason to believe so. It should be based in reality, not blind suspicion.

I believe a lot of the events surrounding covid-19 was in fact a conspiracy but I am open to being proven wrong by reputable sources who are not compromised and can actually show me step-by-step why they are correct.

The 2016 comment shows their political biases, even after that was debunked.

The whole thing feels like its a straw man argument, setting up the other sides viewpoint, then knocking them down one by one.

Even if I dont believe the moon landing was faked, the video itself feels disingenuous.

Which is part of why I stopped watching their videos.

The reason the opposition looks ridiculous is because they are in fact ridiculous. They could have gotten away with making them look a lot stupider but they actually gave them a fair amount of respect.

I mean what else do you want them to even address? The claims that astronauts could have not survived the radiation when they did in fact have protection against radiation and its documented?

The whole moon landing conspiracy depends on people being stupid and not understanding science. So of course deconstructing their arguments is going to make them look stupid.

To be fair dude it's supposed to be an informative comedy video. You would see the same type of thing on Saturday night live or on The Colbert Report. Colbert used to be so good during the Bush years but now he has woke brain rot.

I’ve never researched into if the landing was faked. The reasons for saying it wasn’t faked in this video don’t seem like great debunking. A lot of that can be overcome fairly easily.
