Thoughts on George Carlin's take on this?

Much of what he said is largely true and I agree. I don’t like what he had to say about Christians controlling people. Some of the biggest critics of woke/social justice are true Bible believing Christians. Not nominal Christian’s who show up for church on Christmas and Easter and barely know anything of their faith or scripture, but true serious Christians.


It’s not about control, it’s about the realization that much of that is evil and harmful to the individual or society. Take for example transgenderism. I’m against sex change operations with the exception of hermaphodtes. Why? with a hermaphodite due to the condition you can see there is much cause for disdain and confusion due to the condition and I have the utmost sympathy for those people. Outside of that I’m against it.


Yes, scripture calls it sin, but there’s more. Many of those people will never have an orgasm again or will greatly struggle to have one. What about in cases of regret? That type of surgery is not really reversible should the person change their mind. What about parents…who had a son and now have a daughter…. what must that be like for them? The upheaval that this creates in the lives of families and friends.


What about cases of children having such treatments. They don’t even know who whey are in most cases before their 20’s. Perhaps that type of thing should be reserved for well informed adults who are aware of the consequences. Now we cram this ideology down everyone’s throat and suddenly no one seems to know what sex there are. In fact there is now the fairy tale there are like 89 genders. Now we have biological men competing in women’s sports and disenfranchising them in their own sports.


So I ask…. who is any of this good for? It doesn’t appear to me it’s good for those who change their sex on the whole. It’s not good for many confused and distraught family and friends who have these people in their lives. It’s not good for women and men are now competing in their sports and winning their beauty competitions. It’s certainly not good for the nation as we are continually stuck on stupid with all this.


So I’m against it, because, yes…it’s sin. I’m also against it because I’ve been commanded by God as all Christians are to love my neighbor as myself. If I see a trend that’s fairly harmful to individuals, families, and the nation as a whole, shouldn’t I stand against it? If I have love for my neighbor shouldn’t I warn them the of the consequences of doing this? Likewise if I love God should I not speak his message about this?


It’s a free country. I respect people having the right to make their own decisions, but that matter for example has gone completely off the rails, to the detriment of the nation.


One hospital in Britain is allowing parents to decide what gender to put on birth certificates even if it’s not the child’s actual sex.


We were told transgenderism is from mental illness. Why then are we deciding what sex a child is at birth in that hospital in Britain? Has the child been examined? Has there been diagnostics performed to determine if that new born is mentally ill? No. Then why are we listing what has called a mental illness on a birth certificate? Because it’s not about mental illness it’s about sexual perversion and a kink. It’s part of the attempt to destroy the moral fabric and traditional values of society.


If Christians such as me speak out about such a topic, it’s not about controlling people. It’s about what is plainly a serious problem, that is in fact sin and that any sensible people who cares for others would speak out against what is called evil by God and the harms this is doing to individuals and society.

Carlin was absolutely right about pretty much every topic he spoke on. All he did was tweak his observations and people laughed because they didn't identify their own behaviour in what he said. The most ironic thing is he literally says that everyone is a freak in the show but everyone laughs because it's "everyone else but me" syndrome.

I get blocked on here and see signs saying an opinion is hidden because it's by either someone who blocked me or literally the only person I've blocked - and that was for such repugnant statements I gather they've actually been booted since then.

But people block "offensive" commenters. That shuts down communication. Usually it's shut down before you get a chance to respond because some fucking snowflake can't take a bit of heat. I got blocked by a girl in her early 20s a few days ago because I - as a guy of almost 52 who works with screwed up kids - dared suggest a guy who is 20 years older than the girl can actually fall in love with her. My example was Dick van Dyke whose wife is mid 40s and he's mid 90s. Not even some guy my age dating a girl of 30.

Carlin would have eaten her alive and spat out the bones.

I'm not saying don't block anyone if you're so easily triggered by an opposing view that you need trauma care. I'm saying what Carlin says in almost everything I've heard of his: grow the fuck up. You're allowed to be offended. You're not allowed to censor my right to my opinion expressed in ANY FUCKING LANGUAGE I CHOOSE.

George was right most of the time, and he was right about bullshit in this video.

I loved what he said about the orthodoxy of the left and the orthodoxy of the right.

I'm astounded by the cluelessness of people who consume mainstream media and call people who question the official narratives "conspiracy theorists". Like you are not allowed to ask questions or do research.

George was right about the way debates "will be between these to poles" - "sameness with little variation". That's all the public is allowed to hear. And that people who "are outside are quickly marginalized". That has always been the case, but we saw it dramatically during covid.

Gorge Carlen was actually the one that pointed me to 1984, animal farm, and a host of other books on the topic. Since I was 10, I've pretty much had the same stance on most things.

More freedom=better
Less morality=worse
And the balance needs to be carefully maintained between the two.

I don't share all of his beliefs, but he's not wrong about most of what he is talking about.

He is right. He has been dead for many years and it has gotten worse. The democrats' have already rigged and election and have control of the media so the media parrots that the election was not stolen and they call it the Big Lie. If there is a debate it is moderated by a democrat who steers the debate so the democrat does not have to answer the hard questions. When President Trump asked Joe Biden who the Big Guy was he was immediately shut down.

Meanwhile Donald Trump was previously a Democrat and was loved by Hollywood before he started getting into politics. People who have met him such as Snoop Dogg and others can vouch for him and listening to him myself and looking at what he's done, he's frankly been the most honest president I have ever seen in my lifetime. For reference, the first President I have ever known was Bush Senior.

Trump helped us secure energy independence, he was respectful by other world leaders (he didn't fall asleep while talking to them and their body language around Trump is totally different), he didn't drag us into any new wars, he didn't try to tell us that a man is a woman or a woman is a man and so on.
